There's not enough football on the box. Plenty of other stations to watch politicians lie and see the other news.
All football should be on Sky's multiple channels and banned from BBC and ITV.
Quite a radical view Merv, but unlikely to be supported by football supporters who cannot afford Sky.
However I would certainly support Sky being given control of all live football, their coverage is far more professional than the Beeb or ITV, and would enable me to watch it in HDR without the pfaff of having to use the iplayer to receive it on BBC, and not being able to watch it on ITV because ITVx is not going live until 8th December.

Yeah you're right it's radical. I just get pee'd off that all sport seems to trump everything else. I just caught up with a drama series we recorded in the summer to find one episode wiped out by an overrunning Winbledom match. Fortunately it was still on iPlayer.

It's annoying when you plan to record a whole series only to find because a programme has overrun you miss the ending of your recording. Unfortunately not everything is on iPlayer. or else I just cannot find it.
I wouldn't have any issues with putting the live sports programmes on BBC3 or BBC4 or the equivalent of ITV where least disruption will be caused. We know how Merv likes his Emmerdale and Corrie!!!

Motsi's hair is very disappointing this week.

Loved Motsi’s hair, dress and neckless…Couldn’t tell if it was Shirleys hair or a wig?

Best dancer by far tonight was Janita

Craig's judging...less said the better.

So, keeping up the good run I’m having…

It’s hello Molly and goodbye Ellie

Ellie was poor this week and it could well be her turn to depart. I wonder if Helen might find herself in the firing line. Tonight's wasn't her best.

Should be. If she's in the dance off probably.will be. But I worry for Helen. She's in the danger zone too. Let's hope the popularity vote works in her favour.

I think it will be Ellie and Will in the dance off.

Molly’s Tango was very good I thought. I liked the music that went with it as well.

That Jowita is fit.

Ellie definitely in the dance off with either Molly or Fleur as neither of them have public support. Outside chance of Helen, but I suspect the public will save her

If you are correct, both Molly and Fleur will beat Ellie in the dance off imho. Ellie's jive was a bit tame.

I quite like Molly and her dancing, Fleur not so much so but I agree Ellie's jive was poor compared to the others. I thought Will's Charleston was good, and thankfully no tears from him this week.

I see Stephen is muscling in on the Jowita fan club. What took so long? And Luba, stood in the background was looking rather gooooorgeous

If Kym is back next week, she will end up in the bottom two for sure…. I’m left thinking that Molly and Fleur might need counselling because it appears the public haven’t taken to them…funny thing is I think Molly is the most genuine out of all of them.

So strictly fans have hit out because Craig was giving out '5s' and are not HP. Maybe as the competition is approaching the final stages Craig may have reset his scoring, so last weeks score of 8 has now been realigned to 5. It gives the chance of the last pair to dance to get an higher score than the first to dance, should that dance be just that much better. To keep giving 9 and 10s just do not give enough room to manoeuvre. So if Craig is consistent with his scores as with the other judges what is the problem.
Don't worry, be happy

The problem with Craig is that he is as consistent as what I am with my predictions…his persona is of a man who knows how to work the audience and achieves it with great effect… FAB-U-LOUS!

I saw an analysis of why Molly is not scoring well with the audience. She is a star of child telly so her fan base are not Strictly voters. And her pro partner is new this year so has not yet had chance to build up his fan club.

I read a similar thing a month or so back where a poll was conducted…with a result of Molly and Fleur being least popular…I suppose the fall back is that the judges have the final say and at this point in the competition one has to accept that they know best. I haven’t voted yet but I might when it comes to the final two… which I believe will be Hamza and Helen.

I think you’ll find it’s the public that have the final say Keith.

Well, she got a nice send off with what appears to be a friend for life.

From where Ellie started to where she finished the girl did well…credit to Johannes for getting her there.

Yea right result. I like her and she'd made huge progress but was off the pace. Gets much trickier from here.

If you fast forwarded how do you know they were dreadful? Just asking for a friend
