OL has never been the same since Charles turned down his application for a peerage based on 'bribery by chocolate'.

I am not quite sure why Keefie thinks we care about his over the top fawning over Harry and Meghan, although maybe the old bill ought to have him on a watch list for his worrying hatred of the royal family.

If OL's judgement of horses is as bad as his judgement of H&M he'd be skint.

Hi Barney, I rarely post anything without a little grin on my face so there may be a smidgin of truth in what you say but my views about the Monarchy are in most sincere.barney wrote: 07 Dec 2022, 15:25I sort of suspected that you have been on a wind up for a while but now you’ve confirmed it.Onelife wrote: 07 Dec 2022, 13:23The fact that they are distancing themselves from both dysfunctional families can only be a good thing for their children, Imo.david63 wrote: 07 Dec 2022, 12:34
Actually it is bad parenting not allowing your children to interact with other children and adults. Something that may come back to bite them when their children have mental health issues.
The way Harry and Meghan’s interact with their children William and Kate could learn a few lessons.
I like happy endings, don’t you?
A good one while it lasted though, so credit to you.

Hi John, I think you are getting a little carried away with your assertions that there is hatred in Onelife heart…everyone apart from you knows that Onelife loves everyone, give or take a few Royals.towny44 wrote: 07 Dec 2022, 15:52I am not quite sure why Keefie thinks we care about his over the top fawning over Harry and Meghan, although maybe the old bill ought to have him on a watch list for his worrying hatred of the royal family.

There no such thing as a certainty Merve, but here’s one for you…I was reading in the a ‘times blog’ that one of the Royal aids has said the Royals should defend themselves against the supposed slurs that are about to surface…They won’t of course because if they do so they know Harry will take them down…and not before time imo.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 07 Dec 2022, 17:09If OL's judgement of horses is as bad as his judgement of H&M he'd be skint.

The firm however will be hatching plans to take down the happy couple...it's what they do best.

They do tend to forget the generosity shown by OL in his gifts of the highly sought after OL chocolates.

Hi Ray, thank you for your endorsement of my generosity and indeed my chocolates. For some unknown reason endorsments are few and far between these daysRay B wrote: 08 Dec 2022, 10:02They do tend to forget the generosity shown by OL in his gifts of the highly sought after OL chocolates.

I hope it’s just a case of lighting the touch paper before the explosion…it better be or I’ll be cancelling my pre-ordered book of ‘Spare’

Re: Current Affairs
We have Netflix so will probably watch it over the weekend.
From reports so far, it seems it’s much ado about nothing.
Some pundits have sat through the whole thing and said nothing new and not much to get excited about.

Re: Current Affairs
I love this passage of text written by Lucy Mangan (Guardian) re: Netflix
“There are lots of private photos from the couple’s early courtship, and that they were, and remain, deeply in love is – unless both of them are Oscar-winning actors – beyond dispute.
Kind of dispels some of the disparaging remarks made about Meghan’s motives for marring Harry, by some on this forum.

Re: Current Affairs
Very much a damp squib from the reviews I've read and heard. Nothing new from the Oprah Winfrey show and in fact some rowing back. Previous suggestions they were subjected to racist treatment by the Royal Family replaced by the Royal Family didn't understand the racist element of press coverage for example. I reckon Netflix will want a refund.
From my recollection early press coverage was very positive. Only turned sour when H&M started pushing their own agenda on climate change while hypocritically swanning round in private jets and instead of keeping his head down Harry decided to take them on. Never a good idea.

Hi Sir Merv, I’ve just watched the first three instalments and can I say with complete confidence that you, if you care to watch, will have a different opinion of how Meghan and Harry have been portrayed.

All very unexciting so far, but the firework may be a slow burning fuse. The papers are struggling to make what they had hope for, pages of of the dross they continue to churn out daily.

I doubt it. I watched the Oprah Winfrey interview and in their own words they confirmed my opinion of them.Onelife wrote: 08 Dec 2022, 23:45Hi Sir Merv, I’ve just watched the first three instalments and can I say with complete confidence that you, if you care to watch, will have a different opinion of how Meghan and Harry have been portrayed.

I don't think people realise how hard it must be for the poor mites. It almost had me in stitches tears. I hope after the next three episodes and the publication of his first book they can enjoy the privacy they are working so hard to enjoy.

Morning Foxy…Are you referring to Stephen’s clip leaving you in tears or Harry and Meghan’s three-hour instalments leaving you in stitches?oldbluefox wrote: 09 Dec 2022, 09:12I don't think people realise how hard it must be for the poor mites.
