Are you turned on?

Unread post by Onelife »

Our Christmas lights were turned on today, although it has had to be a downsizing from previous years as I still have to be careful after my surgery. I’ve managed to put some along the front wall and porch…but what brings it all together is the ‘snow drop’ strobe lights on the front of the house.
My wife was a bit reluctant to turn them on this year as she thought it sends out the wrong message when so many people are struggling with their energy costs…I said they should invest in some candles. ;)

Yes or no to lighting up?

We're away over Christmas so I'm not venturing into the loft this year. I'll enjoy someone else's.

We weren’t going to bother this year with all the faffing about but had a change of heart in the end.

Managed to put some lights up round the garage yesterday afternoon although my shoulders are paying for it now. A tree was also going to be a no no this year but we went and brought one yesterday morning, all be it a bit smaller than we would normally get. That’ll be installed today after being stood in water in the garage overnight.

I am keeping quiet about Xmas decs, in the hope we can avoid them this year and set a precedent. We wont be entertaining the family this year, so it all seems a bit pointless.

I was with you John. Just couldn’t be bothered this year, but…..had a slight chance of plan in the end.

Tamed down to the bare minimum though.
