Our neighbours have a wood burning stove. We can be spotted on Google maps; we are the house next door to the one with the ash stripe covering the north east quarter of its roof. On a good day if we hang out washing, it comes in with an odour that reminds one of Robson’s of Craster, on a bad day (still air) the nose is more Fortune’s of Whitby. On the plus side, there is no moss on our roof tiles and the roses are free from black spot.

Are you sure they've not bought a home kipper curing kit?
