We gained revenge against Millwall for the 3:0 drubbing they dished out at theirs by letting them beat us 2:0 at ours ... stupid game

When you do Foxy, it will be by one goal, because that’s all you’ll need to score.oldbluefox wrote: 26 Dec 2022, 18:41Bring on Gillingham. We might stand a chance of beating them but I wouldn't bank on it judging by today's performance.
Harris will have eleven behind the ball from the off hoping for a nil nil and penalties.

Re: Football 22/23
We're not good against lower league opposition and we've a bad track record of losing. Newport County was the most recent although I remember Roy Essendoah (who hardly played a game) coming on for Wycombe and scoring a winner. Your boys will be up for it and with a good crowd will/should raise their game. The way we are playing anything could happen and if we play against you as we did yesterday you could be in with a good chance.
With my team you never know what is going to turn up - either dreadful or world beaters.

Well, you might be in trouble now OBF.
A new owner last week and already he’s dipped his hands into his very deep pockets with a new signing already and apparently, a few more to come.
Hopefully a few who know vaguely where the goal is

Have faith, barney.
When we won the cup we beat Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City. Last year we were dumped out unceremoniously by Notts Forest. We're not good against teams from the lower leagues. Anything can happen.

What on earth has happened to the PL match ball, currently watching Liverpool and Brentford and it looks more colourful than a beach ball.
Can we please get back to a brown leather look football.

Yeah I know what you mean. The ball is supposed to stay true, something to do with aerodynamics I think.
It might not come over on the telly but one good thing about them is when your watching live you don't lose sight of the ball, it's much easier to see. Now whether that's true or not I don't know. It might be just me.

At least you are consistent, you also cursed the other North London club if I remember correctly.

I'm going to miss the Gills game live on TV. Palace kick off against Southampton at 12.30. I'll have to settle for the highlights on MotD.

Maybe you should have kept Jack Butland.

Gills put up a good performance. If they could play like that every week there is no reason why they couldn't move up the table. They defended doggedly and had chances but fortunately we managed to keep them out. There could easily have been an upset.
