Re: Karcher window cleaner
I can't believe that there are 76 replies about a flaming window cleaning device! Seeing as you lot obviously have nothing better to do, could anyone advise me whether or not it's worth hiring one of those rug doctor machines? The dog threw up on my living room rug last week and it's still a bit pongy.

I want to know. She threw up on the same rug when we were away and my son had to pay £45 to get it cleaned!

Re: Karcher window cleaner
cheaper to get a new rug, those carpet cleaners are rubbish on that kind of stain, as are all the stain remover products, get a firm in , if it is an expensive rug, if not , new rug

You've worn me down ... I ordered a Karcher window cleaner yesterday and it will arrive in the next few days. It had better be good or I shall be holding people on this thread to account

I cleaned all the windows inside downstairs with my Karcher this morning, but had to stop when it ran out of battery. More windows next week. Jay

Re: Karcher window cleaner
I cleaned my windows with it yesterday so easy to use and quick. I'm thinking about buying one of the extension poles that they are now advertising on Ideal World, does anyone recommend them?

I live in a bungalow Lynda so don't really need an extension pole although I do have to use steps ( and I don't like climbing ) so would consider buying one and will be interested if anyone has tried one.
I'm going to check them out now on Ideal World

Re: Karcher window cleaner
Based on recommendations from this topic I have put my hand in my pocket and bought one ...
... for Mrs63. I will not be allowed to use as I have long since perfected the technique of not doing household cleaning to an acceptable standard and so I am now forbidden to assist (except in a "management" role

Re: Karcher window cleaner
I purchased an extention pole for cleaning our upstairs windows many years ago in another place and it was a total waste of money, however I kept all the parts and now use it with an olde worlde type mop head attached to clean the top of the garden room glazing using a caravan cleaning solution as this repels the green growth.

Re: Karcher window cleaner
Although I love my Karcher, I still have a window cleaner doing the outsides.
My Dearest Huibby says that when we retire we will do them inside and outside ourselves
To be honest, I ought to be doing that now as all of our windows upstairs are tilt and turn

My Karcher window cleaner arrived this morning, but as we have family visiting for the weekend I won't get chance to try it out till next week.

Mine ran out of battery charge with one small window left to do
The upstairs will have to wait until tomorrow

Re: Karcher window cleaner
We bought our Karcher windown cleaner about 2 weeks ago. We did clean the back windows but there is no point in cleaning the front windows, which are incredibly, incredibly dirty because the gas board are digging up the road outside and you should see the dust all over our front windows and car. We were hoping that the pipes outside of our house would be sorted today but we haven't seen a gas man at all today - not sure if they get 2 days off for the bank holiday. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain here most of the day so I suppose that will be another wasted day. Just hope everything is sorted before our holiday otherwise the windows will remain filthy until early June.

Re: Karcher window cleaner
Went to B&Q yesterday for some rapid setting cement for my whirley-gig instalation project
and they had one on display so I tempted Mobietta to have a practice window clean using it.
Nope, not a glimmer of interest.
Now the question is, given that I could get one for free from Argos using our Nectar Vouchers, is this a cunning Baldrick Plan to get me started on the slippery slope of cleaning ' her ' windows ?

Why not employ your friendly local Window Cleaner ?
Probably much cheaper with no effort on you part
. . . . and you would be putting bread on a deservedly fellow beings table
