I wasn’t to pleased when this week’s shopping order arrived as my wife had ordered a I.5L box of Jam Shed wine…not a problem if it wasn’t for the fact that we already have about 25 bottles of wine scattered around the house.
We normally go for Black Stump but at £5 cheaper this wine wins hands down for me…deliciously fruity and packed with ‘more please’ temptations.
At £6 a bottle or £13 a box this is a real find for me…if you haven’t tried it yet give it a go as I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
You are too late - Suekersh has been singing its praises for a couple of years now.
Their Merlot is, in my opinion, even better and if you want a white then Jam Shed Chardonnay takes some beating - yes I have been a convert for a couple of years now.
Keep up Onelife Jam Shed is popular with my family too - the Rosé is my favourite but love the Chardonnay too. My son recommends the Merlot - Sainsbury is selling at £6 a bottle at the moment too.

Unfortunately our local medium sized Sainsburys do not stock it, but I agree it is rather nice, although the reds might be a little too sweet for some tastes.

Good Morning Jan…the only excuse I can offer is that in the company I keep we rarely touch any wine under £10 a bottle

No wonder Sue can afford so many cruises drinking theses basement priced wines
I’m no wine connoisseur - just drink what I like tbh regardless of price but one of my favourites is Peller Ice Cuvee rosé which I see online is around £30 a bottle !!! First introduced to this on Azura in the Glasshouse .

That explains the cr***y chocolates. Buy some cheaper wine then you would be able to send some decent chocolates to your mates - and it will require more than a box of your chocolates to bribe me!

Thanks for the heads up about your favourite wine…. I’ll see what I can do for your Birthday…no cheap chocolates for my favourite forum member. xx

Snobby git
Which do your mates M&H prefer, red or white?
White as in Champagne…well it was the last time we met up.
Jan, I love the Peller Ice Cuvee too, both White and Rose - sorry don't know how to add the accent on my laptop! I have looked at it on line and now you've mentioned it I may have to order some. Am I right that on board the only place that sells it is The Glasshouse. I've never asked in the MDR if they can get some.
As for Black Stump, well John really liked it, much too heavy for me. I think I've still got a bottle left in my cellar - no not a posh wine cellar, just an area which, as this is a very old house, one side of it is slightly lower than the other so we call it the cellar and it's where my washing machine and other bits and pieces, including the wine is kept. So if anyone's driving to Southampton to board a cruise and they fancy dropping in on the way I'll gladly hand over the Black Stump. I'm only about 20 minutes east of Southampton so not a great detour, depends how much you like Black Stump I suppose! Just looked and it's a bottle of 2018 if that means anything.
