Re: Current Affairs 2023
It's all about the Government intending to take away their ludicrous pensions isn't it, seems the far left and the far right are supporting the riots and such like ?
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Re: Current Affairs 2023
If you believe our main stream media, you’d think that the U.K. is the only country with problems.
I watch and read international news and believe me, the problems that we have here are replicated all around the world.
Believe it or not, Spain still has over 13% unemployment with under 24’s unemployment at nearly 25%.
I blame Brexit

Thanks Maureen. I still 'talk' to Batty. We are now on Faceache, not a channel I like much but at least we are still in touch.MaureenB wrote: 18 Mar 2023, 10:10Hi Paul, paultheagle wrote: 17 Mar 2023, 18:48None of the above, I expect the French are revolting, because like the English they are fed up with very rich people telling them about how little they have to live on.
It's so nice to see you on here now. I always enjoyed your humorous posts on Batwoman's CN site.
Best wishes

The restaurants and hotels round here are really having trouble recruiting staff. The owner of one restaurant has had to suspend the pick up service he normally operates because his minibus has broken down and they can't get the parts.
Tell this story and leave it at that and I guarantee I'll be told it's the fault of Brexit. But oddly I'm in Madeira and as far as I know they're still in the EU.
Of course it could be the fault of the Monarchy. But they don't have one. Or the corrupt right wing government. But the Portuguese political scene has been dominated by the Socialist Party and the Social Democratic Party for many years. Curious eh?

Help needed.
The next villager to ours is celebrating the Coronation with a “Coronation 'Scarecrow' competition” …wanting to get into the spirit of things I’m looking to anyone who has a ‘Camilla, spitting image face mask going cheap’?
Thanks, in anticipation

The real ‘shame’ Barney is that you have two adulterers, one of which is supposed to be the head of the church masquerading themselves as people of good virtue.barney wrote: 21 Mar 2023, 22:37ShameOnelife wrote: 21 Mar 2023, 21:26Help needed.

Interesting take on a Parliamentary committee trying to ascertain whether Johnson knowingly/wilfully/recklessly mislead the House of Commons.Ray B wrote: 22 Mar 2023, 10:08On TV today, High Noon at 2pm. Will Boris kill all the baddies coming for him?.

I know many won’t believe this, what with me being so honest, caring and dam good looking, but I’ve managed to keep it in my trousers all my married life, which is more than can be said for a few I could mention.barney wrote: 22 Mar 2023, 10:20Let ye who is without sin cast the first stone.Onelife wrote: 21 Mar 2023, 23:09The real ‘shame’ Barney is that you have two adulterers, one of which is supposed to be the head of the church masquerading themselves as people of good virtue. Now we learn that the Queen Consort will now be known as the ‘Queen’

Misleading someone is a deliberate act, ain't it? How can you accidently mislead an entire nation with lies, lies and more lies. The bloke should be chucked out of Parliament.

To quote Douglas Bader, "Rules are for the guidance of wise men, and the observance of fools", it's just unfortunate that the opposition parties seem to have a preponderance of fools.

She has indeed Maureen but as far as we know she wasn’t Sh***ing anyone else while she was awaiting her divorce, unlike one I could mention....who it has to be said, did so in the most deceitful of ways.
Rest in peace our my Queen of Hearts.
