I was just wondering how those who purchased I jas in the last few months are getting on.
Are you suprised that you can do so much with them or have they been relegated to the back of the kitchen cupboard.

I was thinking of buying p one of the larger ones but am still unsure I would use it on a regular basis.

My previous Topic on Ninjas

Before the purchase I found a recipe book using English measures, this I read thoroughly to check that a Ninja would be of value to us.

In the end I bought the Foodie-9 variant, like this one.

We operate a 49 day rotating cycle of menus and every single one was assessed for Ninja suitability.

If we can avoid using our Neff appliances we do but we still use the WOK, slow cooker and griddle.

It has been amazing although one does need a little practice to get perfect results.

It deffo saves energy, just had the post winter bill and we are £200 in credit !!!

It certainly gets a thumbs up from us

Well I have ordered my Ninja. The max air fryer. Couldn't decide between two models one was £70 more than the other and as I'm not sure how much use it will get went for the one at £149.
Also bought a new g tech vacuum cleaner . Saved £60 on that in the Amazon sale,our old one has just about had it.

My wife loves her g tech Lindsey although I don’t think the lifespan on them is as good as our electric hoovers…that being said for ease of use they are her first to go to hoover.

My wife bought me a ride on mower recently so I’m now looking to return her kind gesture with an Air Fryer…I might even throw in a potato peeler if she’s lucky.

For a start try partly baked bread rolls, Hot X Buns and fries. Aunt Bessies roasts are just amazing

The rule of thumb is 10% less temperature AND 20% less time than the instructions advise.

Roasted veges ( fresh or frozen ) with a small tin of new potatoes added for a bake or even try making a cake. It will do many of the things that you presently cook in your fan / conventional oven although its size will restrict the number of folk you can cook for but it will use far less energy.


ps ... use 1 x tsp oil max, if any at all

That's the one we have. It is extremely versatile whether it's for warming food through, low fat chips, fish, meats, sausage. It takes half the time to cook compared to an oven and heats up in a couple of minutes.
And it's a doddle to clean.

My sister-in-law has one of the big ones and she says she wouldn't be without it. She uses it for all sorts of things and says it's definitely saving them money, as things cook so quickly. If I weren't on my own I think I'd certainly consider getting one.

I’ve taken the plunge and ordered a Ninja - it’s the same one as Foxy and Stephen I think. I’ve hesitated up to now but my sons rave about theirs so let’s hope it doesn’t end up in the back of the cupboard

According to Ninja you can put the crisper plate and basket in the dishwasher but they are so easy to wash it hardly seems worth it. The non stick coating is incredible so cleaning is not an issue.
