It's non League today so I've been looking for a match to go to. We are quite spoilt around here with about a dozen clubs in the pyramid to choose from.

I'm going to my really local club just two stops on the team to watch Croydon v Faversham Strike Force in the Southern Counties East League Division One level 10. Just £3 concession for a seat in the stand. The football will be awful but honest.

Nowhere near the playoffs but 0-0 at halftime and attacking the Rainham End second half.
We’re still looking to be mathematically safe.

Our win was far more unexpected than yours, and probably far more spectacular as well. I am hoping for a repeat performance on Friday against Mobys Watford.

Rodgers should have been sacked weeks ago for a string of totally inept performances. We made Palace look good even without Zaha. Just go, Brendan.

There are times when I think that one's Hornets would rather not be in the Prem, they were bloody awful. Can only improve by Friday ( fingers crossed ) ;)

I must admit that Leicester were very disappointing, had we scored six it wouldn't have flattered us. Who is this new keeper the Foxes have got he was brill. Leicester tried hard and did their best but for some strange reason it just didn't happen for them. To blame the manager us to easy, their players must take some responsibility. I had almost given up hoping for the win and was blaming our inept finishing for throwing away another two points . To score in the 94th minute was no more than we deserved but Leicester's players were visibly upset. They had a vital point taken away from them. Iversen was the keeper.

As for Watford I bet they regret sacking Rob Edwards now.

Never look back so there cannot be any regrets.

Watford have many talented players but they rarely play as a team, that for me is the problem overall.

Luton on the other hand have a bunch of guys playing out of their skin for each other, in a local derby the manager is irrelevant.

On Saturday nine of our team were current internationals. You would not think so judging by the quality of their play; it was pitiful to watch and that is how it has been for much of the season. The rest of the league must be looking forward to playing us. There is no energy, no passion and no great desire. The players must share their portion of responsibility but when you have a manager whose substitutions weaken the team and whose tactics are debatable at best it makes it a demoralising experience. The club has recently invested in a state of the art training facility with its own treatment rooms, playing areas, restaurant, swimming pool, golf course etc.
As an example paultheeagle mentioned how well our goalkeeper played. He had a very good season on loan at Preston. He returned to City and has sat on the subs bench for the majority of the season playing second fiddle to a goalkeeper who has struggled but Rodgers persevered. That was only the lad's second full match in the first team (he may have had another earlier in the season). You ask why he has not had more opportunities. Only when the situation looks desperate did Rodgers play him. And so it goes on........... We had better players warming the bench than those he fielded.
On Saturday the shots at goal tally was something like 33 for Palace against 4 of ours and Rodgers said "we held out well!" It was an utter disgrace!!
If we do get relegated we have only ourselves to blame but as I told Mob last year you do get some cracking games in the lower divisions which are not dominated by the super rich six. I'd be disappointed but I'd rather watch an exciting match than this turgid rubbish we are seeing from my team at the moment.

End of rant, I feel better now.

You can't argue with the above ObF. I take it all back, Leicester are shite and deserve to be relegated. I wonder we who our new manager might be?

In your position I would also want to rant, however your ranting was almost as skewed as you think your manager is. On one hand you complain he leaves better players on the bench, and then whinge that he weakens the team when he brings them on. On that point I expect my manager to field what he considers his best eleven, ergo those on the bench are inferior, but if we are losing, then I hope he will make changes that improve our performance, but that doesn't always happen.
I do hope you survive, my favoured 3 for the drop are Leeds, Notts Forest and Everton, you can presumably guess why the first 2, as for Everton, they have flirted with relegation for too long, it's time they sampled it fully.

You misunderstand towny.
Rodgers doesn't bring on the better players; they are still sat warming the bench. Some of his substitutions were seriously mystifying.I agree you should be putting out your strongest team but we had players on the subs bench who were in better form than some of those who were playing. As an example Ndidi on Saturday was a liability all match long but Mendy who has never let us down never got a look in and never got on the field. That is why supporters were so exasperated with him.

The next few weeks are going to be interesting.
