locking

Unread post by Onelife »

David, the title very much has relevance to the subject if you think outside the box with a mischievous mind.

Try putting tomorrows Central London’s weather forecast, rain coats and someone (Diana) who would like to see it rain on their parade then you will see the link.

Let’s not get to heavy with the moderation David especially when you have failed to pick up on my little quip.

P.s I thought it was very funny :D

Well it was lost on me. What does it matter what the weather does since everyone will have a great time especially when the Republicans' placards disintegrate in the wet.
It won't matter to the Royal Family anyway since they will be in the dry. Shame though for all the military who will get absolutely soaked. For their sakes, after all the work they put in, I hope it stays fine.

It’s beyond me why some are so intent on ruining the experience for others.
Rain or not, we’ll be watching and hoping that all goes smoothly.

I agree barney. We will also be watching and enjoying the day. It rather reminds me of those kids who don't want to join in an activity but then do their best to spoil it for everybody else.

Sorry to hear of your family health concerns, Stephen. Hope all turns for the better for you.

Locking a Topic is the only option left to us when a dog in the manger attempts to spoil the pleasure of others if only to score a cheap point or to build points to gain a hollow promotion.

If nothing else lockdown should have taught us to be nice to each other.

Not really lost on me, more completely ignored as being a totally irrelevant post.

Keith, you may not be interested to know I have a temporary flag pole in the front of my estate, flying two union flags. I am looking forward to tomorrow's proceedings.
Purely out of interest, I was wondering how you are planning to pass the day tomorrow. You do not say if Mrs OL is going to join in watching His Majesty being crowned.
What ever you decide to do tomorrow, have a nice day. 👑

You could of course do as I do when reading disparaging remarks about Harry and lovely Meghan… smile, reply, and wait for the Dog in a Manger replies which I presume are sent with the same distain that I have for the Monarchy.

I can only conclude that locked topics are based on whether the moderator thinks that you are a nice person or….as you have presumed in my case, not!

Good morning, Ray…today I will study the form, place a bet and then put my feet up to watch racing from Newmarket.

My wife has said that she will watch parts of this historic occasion without swearing any allegiance to what is essentially an institution that represents everything that is wrong in our country.

As for flags and banners, I was going to place a NOT MY KING banner on my estate wall but have decided against this as I don’t want cars beeping horns in favour as it might disturb my 50 strong herd of deer. :)

Not at all, I personally knew you to be a very nice person

The Locking of Topics relates only to breaches of Forum Rules, in the case of recent examples due to the subject matter being ' off topic '.
