Good luck everybody and don't forget to enjoy the day. These last games are what makes the English leagues so exciting. Saints are at White Hart Lane today so I expect we shall be relying on others to make us numerically safe.

Re: Football
Phew, That was a roller coaster ride but eventually both Huddersfield and Barnsley are safe, unless the football league decide to take action for both teams settling for a draw with 5 minutes to go.
Well done Foxy your lot eventually made the play offs, along with Paul's Eagles. Sorry for any Wolves and Posh fans we have, but I am more than happy that the Yorkshire teams stayed up.

Re: Football
Well done Hull
and no beef about us Hornets not making the second auto spot but the ' Dirty Leeds ' tag was well earned once again today when a deliberate late push resulted in a serious neck injury to our replacement young goalie. Fingers crossed that his career is not ended by the thug who was only yellow carded for his calous actions ... sleep well Mr Poleon
See you in the play-offs Foxy my friend, what a turn up and a day of drama for many of us on this Topic

Re: Football
I had every confidence we would make the playoffs!!
What an afternoon of drama that was, and a great advert for non Prem football. Our result at Forest is one of the best since Roy of the Rovers won the European Cup single handed. We literally came back from the dead and settled it in the last few minutes. It sounded an absolutely incredible match and all credit to both sides. Can't wait to see it on The Football League Show tonight.
Pleased to see The Terriers managed to make it for towny and Romig and well done to Mob's lads and the Eagles even though Hull managed to get the result they needed. Anything can happen now in the playoffs, and to be honest there's not a lot between them so it should be exciting. Whatever happens it's going to be a fitting end to a remarkable season.

Re: Football
Phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...what a day....Watford blew it and Leicester sneaked in through the back door...I think we are all happy ain't we.
It was a terrific game at the Palace...I am glad we won but although us Palace fans were pleased with the result I can't help but have a little sympathy with The Posh...They are a super team and have been relegated with 54 points....that has got to be a record.
Bizarrely had Palace and Peterborough drawn, then because of results else where, Palace would have still qualified for the play-offs and Peterborough would have stayed up....We would also have qualified had we lost but you don't know that when you are playing do you.....A tiny little bit of me is now a Peterborough fan.
Good luck to 'Ull
ObF.....See you at Wembley.

Paul. Personally I am happy tat Posh were relegated. After they beat us in the playoff final two years ago their chairman was noe too complimentary aout our team and was quite rude. So there.

Not many bored people at the KC Stadium yesterday.
Comment of the day from FIL who was there with 2 x BIL's and who sadly has dementia.... when asked if he'd enjoyed it, replied....."it was ok"!

Close Moby, veeeery close, but no cigar.Manoverboard wrote:Impossible to call in reality, it all depends on how much the players themselves want it.
Some will see it as a threat to their livelihood given that they will be booted out or sidelined because they are not quite good enough to play at the higher level. The teams with the most number of players who have the most to gain will therefore gain promotion.
For me Hull will be in the playoffs but will not be promoted.

Re: Football
Dear HK,
Football is not my game but it was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement in Hull yesterday. As a proud Hullensian I am glad that Hull City will be up there with the big boys next year.
The result for me was the night before at the KC when Hull FC stuck 48 past London in the Superleague.
Just want Hull KR to lose this afternoon to put the icing on the cake.
Regards

Re: Football
Leicester have the lead but there is a lot of football still to be played...Watford will be slighlty pleased with a 1-0 defeat because it should have been more....A one goal lead might not be enough.....
Having said that the team that sneaks into the play-off when all think they won't make it is often dangerous...Watford had their chance to go up on Saturday and blew it, Sunday is Leicester's chance to be just 90 minutes away from Wembley, the Premier League and all that money.
A much better game takes place at a sell out Selhurst Park tonight with Palace vs the Seaweed...also live on Sky don't miss it.
