Hi everybody great news that Mrs AOTH had a brilliant partaay and that DK you made it to your special night. Thanks to everyone for the weather updates.
we made it up to Derby and amazingly had the best journey up I think the forecast put a lot of people Off. My poor little car was rammed with all juniors DJ equipment, a bag of party clothes a just in case we get stuck up there bag, food, blankets, winter kit etc. Hound was taken to the neighbours and they were left extra food for him - just in case and everything was fine. Great journey up great journey back. Just an utterly brilliant time and junior even had 2 requests from people asking if he would DJ their discos
happy days

No significant milestone, but a very significant year for us.
After nearly 11 years of my OH working away from home, driving many many miles inbetween Geordieland/London/Wales many many times, at the end the year he will no longer be doing it !!!
Not sure what the future holds for us, other than we will be together, every night rather than only a few each month.
I cant wait to have him home.

I reckon you might be able to buy a finger of fudge or a Chomp bar maybe even a mini milk ice lolly or a pack of Space Invaders snacks - however, it's not going to get much else!!gfwgfw wrote:In my post this morning

My advice is don't spend it all at once. Save it for two weeks and then you can treat yourself to a bag of crisps.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

Re: Any significant milestones this year?
We have three big birthdays in the immediate family (all ending in 0) in a 2 month period this year.
B-I-L, Mum and Wina all have reason to celebrate/drink themselves until they forget...but only Wina is hiding on a cruise for hers!

I had my 'significant' birthday last year, and may well retire sometime this year.

Re: Any significant milestones this year?
we did not have anything major planned , as we are both far too young for any milestone birthdays etc
however we are now moving house and migrating north to Hull, which is significant , not just for the house move but I will also have to learn another language as well

Not that it's a milestone but we will be dining with Onelife and his beloved wife for our 31st wedding anniversary next week. It will be on a cruise but only on the river Avon rather than with P & O

Hi Susan,
If your trip on the River Avon is going to be on the vessel which goes from Stratford on Avon (the Countess of Evesham) then you are in for a lovely time. We thought it was great when we had a celebration meal on board.
Have a great time.

Nearly forgot - we're going to have a semi-significant wedding anniversary this year; and it's going to be celebrated afloat!
