Still learning new words in old age.
The new word today boys and girls is:-
pangender.
Never heard of it before, not got a clue as to what it means. Had to google it, and what a laugh, teaching this cr@p to six year olds.

Little wonder the kids are confused. What happened to keeping life simple and letting kids be kids?
I was taught to be cautious

As I may have been left behind in knowing modern speak, out of interest, how many genders are there. I was brought up with two, but it seems humans have mutated. It's difficult to keep up or understand what is happening.

Normally, the firstly one to say 'it's not me' is open to question.screwy wrote: 19 May 2023, 17:47Pansexual.

I'm old fashioned and have a simple test for gender. A quick look down the pants to confirm the presence or not of a certain organ settles it in my book. Yes there are a tiny percentage of people born with a mutation that confuses the issue. But gender is not a choice. It is a fact of birth. Children should be invited to choose their options of subjects to study. Not their gender.

The worlds gone mad.
Give it time and I’m sure you’ll see those that can’t decide what they want to be and opt for a half and half gender option walking down the road.
It’ll probably be called cockertitee

Re: Still learning new words in old age.
I read this morning that a third of children are being taught that a woman can have a penis. Seriously? I think in 20 years time we will have a generation of young people who been badly damaged by all this nonsense. Puberty is a confusing enough time for young people in any case. As we now chuxk into that cauldron of emotions the idea that it's "normal" to identify as the opposite sex (despite what the pants test is telling them), or neither, or as a teapot, we're making matters worse not better.

Re: Still learning new words in old age.
There is one area that offers genuine confusion regarding the pants test.
Many years ago I read somewhere that a child can be registered as a male yet not seemingly have a penis in that it is too small to protrude. Such children should surely be able to choose their preferred gender at some stage as they are obviously neither one nor the other.

Yes but they are rare. At the moment we have blokes with a penis and five o'clock shadow identifying as women. And kids being taught that's normal.

Nor mine. Mind you we didn't have electricity, inside toilets or motor cars in my youth. Well only just.

One bloke on our road in the 50s was the only one to have a car. It was a black ford, running boards and up and over side panels to the engine, not sure on the model. He was a bus conductor.
