My son tells me that they will to spend at least £10m on ground improvements to meet PL standards, this despite a plan to build a new stadium, all dependant on them winning the play off final of course.

You dont think its rather two faced, football relies heavily on the sponsorship money from the betting companies, and yet when a footballer becomes addicted to gambling and places bets on football matches they seek to ban them, rather than help them with their addiction.

I think Toney will get all the help he needs but you can't have players and officials gambling on the game. Why couldn't he bet on horses or something else. He knew before he was addicted that he cannot bet on the outcome of football matches, he flouted the rules and thought he could get away with it.

As for football relying on betting companies sponsorship I think you will find that practice coming to an end .

Great match to decide who goes up to the Prem. Coventry and Luton gave it their all and in the end it was a pity that either had to lose. There was some great football played, even for a neutral like me. In the end penalties decided it.

Kenilworth Road could be their strength. It's tiny just over 10000. The fans are really close to the pitch and can create an amazing atmosphere. The entrance to the away end is behind a row of houses, whose gardens back on to the back of the stand. There won't be many away fans and tickets will be very hard to come by.

It's been on the cards so I'm not too disappointed and I'm actually looking forward to next season when we have got rid of all the fancy Dans who think they are better than they are and didn't show it on the pitch. For far too long there has been no fight, no aggression, no determination playing slow, possession football and giving goals away cheaply. You cannot do that in the Prem otherwise you get punished and we were, week after week. Today we played a much better game but it came too late to make any difference.

We were slow in changing manager. Rodgers persisted with players in the team who were not good enough whilst his possession based tactics lacked ambition and we were easily picked off.

I'm hoping we will now rebuild with some young, hungry, talented lads who will run their socks off and provide some excitement. Obviously the appointment of the new manager will be crucial on how well we do but I am looking forward to playing Mob's lot and hopefully they will be generous in donating six points!!!

As for Utd I’m delighted with the way our season panned out, donth think anyone fancied us for 3rd place, trophy in the cupboard and another final to come.ETH has done an incredible job with the problems he inherited (Ronaldo) and total lack of character. Need the glazers to sell up asap. People say they have spent millions,no THEY haven’t, they have not invested a penny of their own money, it’s why Utd are close to a billion in debt.

After the behaviour we have witnessed from the scousers, their disrespect to the National Anthem and Prince William and the club's failure to disassociate itself I would be very happy never to see them in a final ever again. Hence I was very happy to see United edge them out. (It's a pity really as I was very happy to support them as a neutral through the 70s and 80s).

As for my team we were just not good enough, plain and simple. We had too many talented players cruising along, picking up large salaries, from the manager down. I look forward to the clearout.

We finished above Chelsea, I'm happy with that. Roll on August. Macca and Milo got a great send off and Hughsie scored his first goal for us, a header no less,

It's going to be a very competitive championship next season.

The past seven or eight years have been incredible and something I thought my team would never achieve. Now it's over I am looking forward to the next phase but it's not going to be a foregone conclusion we will bounce back. There are some good teams in the Championship so after a good clear out we need to buy well. Interesting times ahead.
