Hosepipe Ban

Unread post by david63 »

Inevitably when we get two days of hot weather we have to have a hosepipe ban but of all the reasons this has to be the best

People working from home post pandemic are having too many drinks! Did these people not have any drinks when they went into work?

Don’t talk to me about that Foxy.

I was trying to insure my car yesterday. I had more chance striking up a conversation with the pope.

What about all the leaks that are being reported? If the water companies fixed some of those maybe a hosepipe ban wouldn't be necessary. I trust that nurseries are allowed to continue watering.

The usual cobblers from the useless privatised water companies. Too busy shovelling money to their shareholders to fix leaks. What a pathetic excuse.

You can't just impose a hose pipe ban without a reason, so you must push the blame on the consumer and say it's you lot working from home that put us in this position.
Much better than saying we have been paying our lovely shareholders some really good dividends over the years which has left us short to pay for upgrading the infrastructure. So now we have little water for the customers and thank all our customers for thier understanding at this difficult time.

Yes, but the neighbors keep getting letters telling them to lower their usage as it's rather high.
