Happy birthday screwy, hope you have an enjoyable day but be careful when biting into the birthday cake, there may be a file in it.

Re: Happy Birthday screwy
A belated thank you to all for my Birthday wishes.
I would have got back to all sooner but I was bobbing around the Med on Arvia and only got back this morning.
As for Arvia…not again for me. ‘ Bargain loving Brits..at sea.’

Don’t get me wrong, nice ship but something just wasn’t as good as Iona.
The idea of booking a table on the app is plain stupid, I thought it was freedom dining.?
The shopping area is a maze, lots of high end outlets with nobody buying but very little in the duty free.! Entertainment the first week was virtually non existent. 2 very entertaining girls on trapeze type things in the atrium but an extremely annoying Spanish clog dancer with a guy who strummed his guitar like mad,not my taste but some liked it.
Sunbed areas were packed solid with the same people every day, people were standing around waiting and hoping some one would leave but no.! Towels on beds at 6-30. Unfortunately that’s the same on most ships. We refuse to fight for a sunbed, we’ll take the sun on the balcony whenever it appears.
Lack of staff in the dining rooms meant you could wait up to an hour for a table but there were loads of empty tables..
Too many pax, shuttle buses were struggling in Barcelona.
Overall there were not many who liked the ship.

Bargain loving brits, yep, that about sums it up. I know lots of holiday makers enjoy those ships, but to many for my liking. As for Icon of the Seas out next year with something like 7500 pax no chance.

Re: Happy Birthday screwy
But that's only if every bunk is full, the lower berth number is only 5600, so not much more than Iona or Arvia, but oodles more spaceRay B wrote: 25 Jun 2023, 19:41Bargain loving brits, yep, that about sums it up. The way things are going with ships getting ridiculously bigger and bigger I feel our cruising days may eventually come to an end.
