If they fail to plan for a Martian invasion Sir H will be ready with "too little too late."

Re: The Covid Enquiry
You mean they have already planned for one.
I’ve already got some instant Smash to welcome them.

I still think this is one of the funniest ads that was on TV I dread to think how many years ago!

I still have not seen any ad to beat the Campari ones with Leonard Rossiter and Joan Collins.

Re: The Covid Enquiry
It's a nice little earner for the lawyers who, in the interests of thoroughness will be able to string this out for a few years at great cost to the taxpayer and come to a conclusion which could have been made much sooner and much cheaper.
I'm no friend of Matt Hancock. Essentially he dealt with a very difficult situation, a pandemic which nobody saw coming and for which we were ill prepared (as were other countries). Careless and foolish behaviour led to his demise. However I was appalled to hear relatives of the deceased calling him a murderer. Such behaviour from the public gallery should not be tolerated. I would hope there will be no further interruptions whenever they hear something they don't like. Personally I don't see why they or any others are there.

Re: The Covid Enquiry
I'm wondering at what stage in the inquiry they will consider the part social media played in the death toll.
I personally know one healthy and fit young man who died in intensive care because he believed the utter bollocks he read on Facebook and ignored government advice. I'm sure he won't be the only one.

Re: The Covid Enquiry
Mrs Cranky replying to how prepared the Scottish government were for covid went straight into a political speach on how it was all the blame on Brexit, for taking valuable time and resources away from any preparedness. Basically having a swipe at the British government, until she was told by council she was in a witness box and not on a soap box.
Don't worry, be happy
