Once found guilty of such a horrendous crime, the guilty person must be made to face the judge as sentence is given. There should be no choice.

The problem of course with someone like Letby who already probably faces a whole life sentence is what extra sanction could be applied if they still refused? Could they be physically dragged into court screaming and kicking? They should be, but would our system go that far? I'd say yes, gagged in a straitjacket if necessary, but imagine the outcry from the liberal lefties.

So Letby has been sent Down for life as was to be expected. How long before some 'do gooder' raise their head above the parapet to claim it is inhumane.

No surprises in the sentence but had I been one of these unfortunate parents I would have preferred the reintroduction of the death sentence for crimes such as this …the thought that my child’s killer will still be alive after my death would haunt me to the grave. Whilst screwy will be better placed to answer this question than me but I am led to believe prisoners such as Letby will, after time, become institutionalised into prison life, and in doing so adjust herself to the restrictions placed upon her.
This to my mind doesn’t equate to a punishment befitting her heinous crimes.

She may well become, as you say OL, institutionalised, and may not miss a trip to the country side or a walk at the seaside the chance to take in a show at the theater and visit a restaurant. Lots of thing we do not give a second thought to, but for her, day in day out, year. after year, (if she survives) all she has to look forward to are four walls.
