Bah humbug!! Christmas already?

Unread post by oldbluefox »

I have been into town, two towns actually, covering 5 or 6 supermarkets looking for weedkiller for my patio. All of the gardening sections have been cleared away and already Christmas paraphernalia is being put out - not just a few shelves but whole aisles dedicated to Christmas decorations.

For goodness sake August is not yet out so are we now going to be blasted with Slade and Yo Ho Ho music for the next 4 months? What is wrong with these people that we need to start so early. By the time December comes will we not all be sick and tired of it all or by that time maybe there won't be a cracker to be seen and the shelves will be full of Easter eggs.

Bah humbug indeed so I won't be buying weedkiller locally!! :x
I was taught to be cautious

They had a news peice a couple of mornings ago where a garden centre/nursery was struggling so brought Christmas forward even earlier to try and claw back some trade. He reckoned it was going well.

Are people brain dead.

I’m fully expecting east eggs to make an appearance anytime soon.

I love Christmas but all mention should be banned until 1st December.

I'll be doing my Christmas shopping in the 24th December sales as usual.

I’ll leave any shopping until January sales.

I normally revert to Jehovah's Witness just before Christmas. Saves any awkwardness
