Armistice Day pro-Palestinian protest

Unread post by Onelife »

I am in full agreement with Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman in wanting to stop thousands attending a pro- Palestinian march through London on Remembrance Day. While the conflict may be very close to home for many of those wanting to protest, this day is the day when we stand still together in respect and remembrance of those who gave their lives for their country.

Garry Linaker needs to keep his gob shut. imo

Agree 100%. Lineker is, as usual, talking rubbish.

I feel terribly sorry for the innocent people of Palestine who are being killed and injured by the bombing and shelling.
But equally I feel great sympathy for the families of Israelies killed or taken hostage by Hamas terrorists , and I can understand why they want to eradicate Hamas from Gaza.
However sooner, hopefully, or later the war has to stop, otherwise the entire region will become involved. So diplomacy has to work somehow.

A terrible situation with as usual the innocent suffering. What has the world come to.

Whilst I have every sympathy with Israel over the attacks there is no way that I can accept the killing of hundreds (if not thousands) of innocent children - this is almost as bad as what happened during WW2, the very reason that the state of Israel was created.

:)

It could be argued that a two-state system would be the fairest compromise to this conflict…I also think there would be historical justification for this solution, however I can’t see any movement on this until Hamas is removed from power.

Son No2 left Manchester Piccadilly earlier this morning en-route to us, said he observed a bunch of Palestinian protesters hassling an innocent Poppy Seller ... pathetic
