Hi Susan... you forgot to mention our trip to Warwick Race Course! Thinking about it, it might be Warwick Castle? Oh Yes! Then its Sunday lunch at our place...btw, how do you like your chips?

Hi Em

Susan and her OH are indeed in for a treat aboard the “Countess of Evesham” we’ve dinned on her a couple of times over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Regards

Keith

Just celebrated my 70th.
My partner has really pulled the stops out. A trip on the Orient Express booked for the 24th.May. And it's a steam train! Plus a trip to the London Transport Museum and the IMAX to see the latest Star Wars.
Only another five years until I get a free TV licence.
Unfortunately I cannot persuade her to join me on a cruise.

Hi Em, I am intrigued , what is a semi-significant wedding anniversary. Each on is special although being away will make it extra special.

SW & OL

Hope you all enjoy the river boat trip They are a rather nice way to see the peaceful countryside. The trips on the River Trent have various themes including dancing so they can be good fun.

SW & your OH
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary.

Hi Andrea,

Hmmm well it doesn't have a '0', it's not silver - but we are looking forward to it hugely.

we did not have anything major planned , as we are both far too young for any milestone birthdays etc
however we are now moving house and migrating north to Hull, which is significant , not just for the house move but I will also have to learn another language as well
I thought people only emigrated from Hull. There must be a real incentive. :o

Dear Alan,

I am happy that people are dismissive of my home city and stay well clear, especially southerners and yellow bellies...because it means that I don't have to waste my breath telling them to "BUGGER OFF!"

I must say that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Yorkshire earlier this year - and so we are hoping to have a longer trip maybe later on this year (or failing that early next year).

So, here's the plan - we can load up with 'necessities' at Betty's and head in an easterly direction!

Em :)

Howard
a rather large incentive to be fair
Also I have found the locals to be most welcoming and very good company
my only concern is that I will have to hide the fact I am from Lancashire and that I speark proper like 8-)

Rob

Had a couple of tours to Hull and thought it a delightful place

The folk were pleasant, and they even liked my Ferrets

Kindest regards

Not that it's a milestone but we will be dining with Onelife and his beloved wife for our 31st wedding anniversary next week. It will be on a cruise but only on the river Avon rather than with P & O :P

Well it was our 25th anniversary on Tuesday, which we celebrated with a Renewal of Promises and a couple of days at a lovely Country House Hotel in Suffolk.

A good, practical gift. What was the problem? It is a well-known fact that irons last longer than a bunch of flowers.

Well I suppose it depends whether you liked the friend or not, but I suppose that might be seen as a result!

On the other hand no one ever got killed by being hit over the head with a bunch pf flowers!

M & T , This thread has been going since January so you kept your 25th Wedding Anniversary very quiet.

It sounds that you have had a very romantic 2 days.

Congratulations.
