Grand National 2024

Unread post by Onelife »

Time to get your pins out but as always Onelife is here to help you lose your money…that being said I did have the winner last year. :D

They’ve reduced the runners down to 34 this year, not that this will make it any easier to pick the winner, indeed I think this year’s race looks more of a puzzle than previous running’s of this famous race.

Oh’ and before I go any further let’s not have any sermons about how cruel the race is... I don’t want to waste my time arguing the case for why it isn’t cruel.

The link bellow should give you all the info on where to lose your money.

https://www.grandnational.org.uk/grand- ... unners.php

As for my selections I’m going EW on two horses, the first of which is ROI MAGE currently 50/1…you don’t get many 12-year-olds winning the National and this one will probably continue that trend, but with a fair wind behind it…who knows.

My second selection is another old timer MINELLA INDO currently 20/1…if his stamina lasts out this horse certainly has the class to run a good race despite being 11 years old.

Good luck

I'm surprised Keefy is betting on Roi Mage.

Roi......french for King
Mage....a person who has magic powers or who has studied for a long time and has a lot of knowledge.

I think Keefy could be a Royalist in disguise just winding us up but very subtly done.

My money will be on Foxy Jacks. No choice really. Got to be.

Hi Foxy…. when Roi (King) gets beat it will only confirm what I’ve been saying all along… “they are complete waste of time and money” :D

Hi David, if either of them win I’ll have no need for milk... it’ll be champagne all the way

I have this one in the free to enter ITV sweepstake (it’s not without a chance) if it wins, I go into a draw with about 20,000 others to decide who wins £50k.

Well done Keefy. You got a 3rd place.
Foxy could have won it but nobody said they had two laps of the track.

Thanks Foxy…both of my selection ran fantastic races with Roi being right there at the last… alongside Indo. The good news is that they all came back safely. The winner looked outstanding.

Me too - but that is probably more to do with not having a bet!

OMG

With 5 minutes to the off, chose 3 horses and have had the winner of the Scottish grand national. Again £2.50 each way at 14/1.
