Well done Huddersfield in taking 2 points off Leeds, the best team in the land with the best support (or so they tell everyone :moresarcasm:)
And you did it with 10 men for the second half

Indeed, you certainly did not reciprocate the favour. And neither did Middlesborough, Watford, or Blackburn.

In the absence of the Prima Donna divisions, real grass roots football continued yesterday.
A good away victory for the Gills to keep us in the playoff shout.
Terriers loanee Mahoney played probably his best game for us so far and scored the winner in what sounded a thriller but in reality, we pretty much controlled.
Once again, two dire defensive individual errors cost us goals but there was only one team going to win.

It's a very interesting watch at the enquiry today with Alan Bates answering and explaining the way years of meetings , phone calls and letters/emails unfolded.
It just unbelievable what he was up against as he battled the post office for 20 years.
It going to be a while yet before anyone sees the inside of a jail cell, it cannot quick enough.

Rest assured Ray, yours isn’t first ‘post’ to be delivered incorrectly…it happens all the time round this way.

Thanks John. What an incredible result from the QPR match last night. Would like to see Ipswich join us. What an amazing story that would be for them.

I hope their promotion is secured before next Saturday when we are at Ipswich, and the team are all hungover from their celebrations, because it looks like we will need all the points from our last 2 games and then hope Wedneday dont get more than 2 points from their last 3.
I know that's very unlikely but one has to have hope.

A good afternoon at the KP today. Although we lost Blackburn got the points to stay up, we celebrated our promotion so everyone left the stadium happy.

Thankyou Foxy, but when I look back on our recent 14 years in the Championship and Premier league, apart from the two play off final years we have struggled to avoid relegation, and even when we were promoted to the PL we had a negative goal difference. So we have never been able to establish ourselves as a genuine championship team.
Now I worry that our new American owners may decide to cut their losses and put us up for sale, where our value as a league one side will not attract any buyers with the necessary deep pockets to finance a team capable of getting promotion.

I think there is sometimes a danger of becoming a yoyo club - too good for the league you are in but not strong enough for the league above. Unless you have the funds to buy some decent players or attract players coming on a free at the end of their contracts you have to rely on young, upcoming talent likely on loan although even that incurs an expense and doesn't always work out. Sometimes a couple of years to stabilise and build up a head of steam with young, enthusiastic talent and a manager keen to make a name for himself and you have more chance of staying up when you get there............but everybody is trying to do that and then fending off the big boys looking to cherry pick.

We've got a lot of work to be done getting rid of some of the dross on high wages who are doing very little. Last year we got rid of Maddison, Barnes and Tielemans who, on the face of it were seeing the season out and looking to their next move rather than committing 100% to our cause. Personally I was glad to see the back of them. We should hopefully see a few others go who are not up to the Prem and w can bring in some fresh blood probably from the free list and loanees without having to spend much bearing in mind we still have FFP hanging over us from paying high wages to talentless mercenaries.

We will enjoy our success this season but now the hard work begins. If we are relegated again so be it and we will just have to start all over again. Last time we were relegation favourites look what happened!!! I'd better get a few shillings on a 5000-1 bet!!!  :lolno:
