Eurovision 24
I shall no doubt be watching and having just listened to the top ten in the betting I would "without the conflict in Gaza" be having £5 ew on Israel’s entry (Still needs to qualify tonight) lovely song with nice lyrics.
Shame about what will be bias voting, and no doubt lots of heckling.

Re: Eurovision 24
Sorry OL, but I would rather watch paint dry.
The whole thing is rigged anyway which takes away the whole point of competition.

I’d even give it a second coat to watch it dry twice.

We'll be glued to it with the aid of an alcohol infusion.

I shall record it, watch the voting in high speed and then watch the winning song.
It would be much better to do the voting first then the winning country performs their song.

I have a terrible feeling that the Irish thing will do quite well. Can not say it impressed one iota but seems to be getting a lot of publicity

The best bit will be raising a glass to the late Sir Terry at Song 9.

So will I. He was the only good thing about the Song Contest in the past. I certainly shan't be watching it. I might tune in at the end just to see who's won. All I know is, it won't be us.

From the little I have seen it seems more a competition who can be weirder or more outrageous than the next.

Bloody Hell, a few days ago I could have taken 33/1 about Israel winning tonight... it is now 3/1 second fav to win.
Clearly the bookies have taken onboard my expert opinion…I shall be having a speculative fiver on the nose even though politics will scupper their chances no doubt.

Best stick with Neddy and Dobbin OL
Meanwhile UK hold the record for the number of pelvic thrusts in a codpiece you can squeeze into a three minute display. Pity he didn't wear a skirt. It worked for the winner
Just a display of exhibitionists and oddities all trying to outdo each other.

I'm guessing that the UK got nil points from the public vote shows I'm not the only one turned off by semi naked blokes crawling all over each other.
And two out of 25 acts non binary? That's rather over representation. What happened to equality?

Re: Eurovision 24
There was a programme looking back on Eurovision recently. The contrast back then couldn't be more marked. All the men in Black Tie, women in evening dresses singing songs that you could actually make out the lyrics - I know, I'm old! Saw Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson performing 'Sing Little Birdie.'

I shall console myself with the fact that Israel got the second highest public vote and had the jury panel not shown their bias by entertaining the pro-Palestinian mobs the money would be in my pocket.
I agree with Sir Merv regarding UK’s porn show…thoroughly distasteful Imo.
As for the sissy girl/boy who won the competition… Gawd help the youth of today if this is the way the music industry is heading.

Watched the first five performers before changing channels, I thought the special effects lighting was more entertaining.

We haven't watched it for years, think it's a load of rubbish and a waste of time and money
