It sounds like a case of Mad dogs and English men….

It sounds like he achieved a lot in life and will be missed by many, including my wife who speaks fondly about his presenting style and commitment to making people aware of what they should/shouldn’t eat for a healthier lifestyle.

A bit suspicious I feel.

A man of his inelegance would surely have taken a fully charged working mobile with him in case of a problem.

I agree Stephen...a few "why" questions still to be sought.

Not wanting to be disrespectful but did he fall or did he jump?

Reports I've seen suggest collapsed rather than either. Maybe as simple as the extreme heat.

A strong possibility Merv. But you would think he should have known better than to go walking in that heat over such conditions on his own.

Yes you'd think so. I guess the postmortem will tell us eventually.

I can think of worse ways to commit suicide if indeed this is what he did, however I rather suspect heat exhaustion is more than likely the primary reason for his death…heat, apparently can play havoc with your mental state, especially in the environment he would have been experiencing.

Heat, disorientation, fall?

One of the main causes of heat exhaustion is dehydration and I would have thought that he would have been more than well aware of that, especially in the temperatures that were being reported.

Death by natural causes generally have contributing factors, such as in this case going out in the mid-day sun.

Right, I’m off out for the day….be nice to each other xx
