Sign of the times
I found this article very concerning….it gives a glimpse of what I suspect is round the corner for this country.

I don't think at the moment it is anything to worry about - there are always "one off" candidates at general elections.
Cannot disagree with that - he did all he could during Covid to undermine the Government

I find it very disconcerting that there are now 4 "Hamas" MP's in our parliament

I'm not sure that's true. It's entirely possible to support the Palestinian population without being pro Hamas. The same as it is to support the Israeli population without being a fan or their appalling leadership.

When you consider a large proportion of Palestinians support Hamas then it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that many home grown Palestinian/Muslims also support Hamas.
What I do know for sure is that Sir Merv would much rather live under the leadership of Israel than that of Hamas.

It is possible to dislike the idea of living under the leadership of either.Onelife wrote: 06 Jul 2024, 15:04When you consider a large proportion of Palestinians support Hamas then it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that many home grown Palestinian/Muslims also support Hamas.

I think I would rather live under the leadership of Starmer than either of those two (unless I emigrate then actually I have no choice!) - might even consider Trump as a better alternative, then again perhaps notOnelife wrote: 06 Jul 2024, 15:04What I do know for sure is that Sir Merv would much rather live under the leadership of Israel than that of Hamas.

I might prefer to live under attack by Hamas than Netanyahu. They kill a lot fewer people.

Another sign of the times comes from Brazil. Off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, sharks that have been tested are high on cocaine. So it's not just those on the shore snorting coke, marine life are at it too.
Don't worry, be happy

I hadn’t read about this Ray, but it is quite concerning when you consider how many thousands of gallons of p*ss gets pumped into the sea each day.Ray B wrote: 23 Jul 2024, 16:50Another sign of the times comes from Brazil.
