Neveretheless, I still received a large box of Maltesers, a packet of chocolate raisons and a bar of fruit and nut…so thanks to whoever sent them to me

Not if it was my Mother-in-law. At the time she was well into her 90s and starting to loose the plot a bit so whenever anyone bought her a box of chocolates she would suck one and if she did not like it then it went back in the box to be offered to the next visitor - so thanks, but no thanks!

Well, that was an eventful birthday, it started with me opening my presents, new watch, aftershave, Liz earl face creams, socks, chocolates, and £50 quid for the bookies. I then proceeded to jump on the mower to give the garden a short back and sides, after which my wife then had a call to say one of our community hall toilets wasn’t flushing, Oh sh*t I thought, and Yes’, I was right… messy old business.

Bumped into some friends on the way back and enjoyed a couple of hours in pleasant company... with a glass of champagne which they kindly opened for my Birthday.

We are just preparing to go out for a meal so I will leave you all by thanking you for your best wishes and my sincere hope that we can all enjoy many more together.

Thank you, Carole, It had a bit of everything culminating in a meal at our favourite Indian restaurant.
