Not sure that these sort of posts are ever going to replace the current affairs ones Keith, but do keep trying, you might want to consider some anti Sussex posts, they could be popular!🤣

It certainly made me smile, can imagine something like this being on 'That Was The Week That Was' all those years ago!

It wasn’t posted as a replacement; it was posted with the intention of putting a smile on your face…I will keep trying though :)

It's true!!!!! Where we live everybody speaks, more so if you are out on the fells but go to London and even eye contact seems to be viewed with suspicion.
Interestingly the last time we were there young people, on a couple of occasions, offered their seat on the Tube. Rather surprisingly it was usually foreign youngsters and especially Japanese. I do believe they are very respectful to their elders and it certainly showed. Nowadays parents will let their elders stand whilst their little offspring occupy a seat, something which didn't happen when we were youngsters.

Strayed off topic there when OL is doing his best to brighten our day.

Hi Foxy, I think the last time I travelled on a tube was over 30 years ago (much prefer to use taxes, especially when visiting London with banners) I do however remember it well. On boarding the train, we sat opposite another couple…not a word being spoken for the first couple of minutes, indeed this appeared to be the same amongst all the other passengers in the carriage. From my experience, traveling on other modes of public transport it just takes someone to break the silence which was the case on this particular tube journey, hence we chatted to the couple until we vacated the train…. That being said I distinctly got the feeling that we each had two heads and a carrot for a nose from those around us.

Went for a walk this morning and pasted about 9 people on my way, we all gave a reciprocal Good morning or Hello to each other…long may that continue.

Thank you Kaymar, and if you or indeed any of you are passing my little abode you will be given a very warm Shropshire welcome… please drive slowly when entering my estate as I don’t like the deer getting upset. ;) :)
