Onelife's Saturday Tip.
You’ll be pleased to know that if you back this one it won't cost you nowt apart from a few drops of Domestos and some toilet roll paper…I was watching some clips on YouTube the other day, one of which was showing how you can get black mould off the shower tray (not that ours is caked with the stuff but over a few months there are areas where spots appear) Anyway, if you put a few drops of Domestos onto the kitchen roll paper then place/push it into the mould spot, leave overnight and hey presto it will be gone by the morning.

I generally don’t do cheap so can’t help you out with that one, however, having had great results with the shower tray I’ve just placed kitchen roll soaked in Domestos around the inner rubber of our washing machine…we’ll see how that works out tomorrow.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 17 Aug 2024, 17:19Does it work with cheap supermarket own brand bleach? I could be wrong here but I don't hear any singing in these parts and I bet those who are singing now will soon stop when they find that the rubber has rotted overnight and the washing machine leaksOnelife wrote: 18 Aug 2024, 08:54I would imagine there are thousands around the country singing my praises this morning…another fantastic result with the washing machine rubber.

I said that it cleans the rubber, I can’t be held responsible for any leaks afterwardsdavid63 wrote: 18 Aug 2024, 09:24I could be wrong here but I don't hear any singing in these parts and I bet those who are singing now will soon stop when they find that the rubber has rotted overnight and the washing machine leaksOnelife wrote: 18 Aug 2024, 08:54I would imagine there are thousands around the country singing my praises this morning…another fantastic result with the washing machine rubber.

Won't any bleach have the same effect, or are you sponsored by Domestos?Onelife wrote: 18 Aug 2024, 09:32I said that it cleans the rubber, I can’t be held responsible for any leaks afterwardsdavid63 wrote: 18 Aug 2024, 09:24I could be wrong here but I don't hear any singing in these parts and I bet those who are singing now will soon stop when they find that the rubber has rotted overnight and the washing machine leaksOnelife wrote: 18 Aug 2024, 08:54I would imagine there are thousands around the country singing my praises this morning…another fantastic result with the washing machine rubber.

I haven’t as yet been approached but in answer to your question, I think any mould remover would do the trick. I think the method is more important than the bleach you use.
On the note of sponsorship, one would have thought David would have given me a bung by now, especially considering all the sacrifices I make for his forum.
