You Cannot Make it Up!

12-year-old boy's sentencing delayed because of mother's holiday to Ibiza

The sentencing of a 12-year-old who admitted to participating in two separate incidents of disorder in Manchester last month has been adjourned because his mother has gone on holiday to Ibiza, a court heard.

District Judge Joanne Hirst told Manchester Magistrates' Court she was "frankly astonished" that the boy's mother had decided to fly abroad for a five-day sunshine break.

Judge Hirst adjourned sentencing of the boy for two counts of violent disorder and ordered a parental summons so the mother must appear before the court when she passes sentence on September 11.

Keep the little sh*t locked up until sentencing. And unless there is a responsible adult at home then put an arrest warrant out for the mother. Simples.

What is going on with todays children. Are they exposed to to much violence on their mobile devices, the games which seem full of violence and videos from on line sources. What is driving some kids to ruin their futures with acts of violence we use to associate with much older people.
Two teenagers arrested over the stabbing of a 13 year old in his home last Thursday .
An 80 year old man attacked and later died after walking his dog Sunday evening. Five children,  a boy and a girl, both aged 14, and another boy and two girls aged 12, were being held under investigation of murder.
Are we getting to the point, when out walking, that we become concerned when a group of youngsters get close, that they may turn confrontational, or worse, violent to ones self.
Don't worry, be happy

I just heard a report of the above, concerning two 14 year olds and two 12 year olds. I can't believe it! What is this country coming to? What do the parents think these children are doing, do they even know where their children are?

I am not altogether sure that anything has changed. There have always been gangs of youths roaming the streets causing mayhem.

What has changed is the ability, and willingness, to inform the whole world of what they are doing whilst they are doing it - and if the perpetrators don't have their phones out then you can guarantee that half the onlookers will.

Probably don't care and don't know. I would make a guess that in many cases the parents are no better - for instance yesterday when the mother of the 12 year old boy went off to Ibiza the day before he was in court.

Where is a 'Do Gooder', when you need one to explain how dis advantaged the family are, and why we should not persecute the child because this is the only entertainment he finds satisfying.

Why am I not surprised when I hear of these stories involving young children? Time the parents were held responsible for the actions of their children and they were hauled before the courts as well. Time we stopped making excuses for feral kids.
Years ago German parents were held responsible for the actions of their children. Seems to me a good idea.

Obviously not in all cases but social divides have a major influence on why we are seeing more crime, more drug offences, more gangs, more dog-eat-dog attitudes, and less parental control.

In many ways it's a breakdown of society where children are brought up in single parent families with dysfunctional mothers, absent fathers, devolved parental responsibility and children seeking a family/social tie. Invariably it is the gang which fills that need and all the antisocial consequences which go along with it. The rest of us pay.

But why do significant numbers on both the black and white social sectors believe that this same society is no longer listening to their needs, to the benefit of the those on the opposite side.
Find a solution to that and you could become PM, President, King and Supreme leader.

Much as I disapprove of may things fron across the pond I have to agree with the parents of children being charged for the crimes that their children are accused of.

I think to a certain extent those on the ‘opposite side’ think they are more deserving because they have worked for everything they have in their lives, whilst not accepting that the significant numbers work equally hard for less money and less opportunities to climb their way out of the social imbalances that surround them.
The solution is to recognise this fact and peruse policies that address these issues, and not, as we have been doing for the past 40 years in accepting this is the way it has to be…. failure to turn this around will be to the detriment of society as a whole because we are fast reaching a point of no return.

I was talking about those who have never done a day's work in their lives and have no intention of working. They are very adept at working their way through the benefit system and know how to maximise any handouts going. They lead chaotic lives often involving drugs and alcohol. Meanwhile the children live in squalor, literally fending for themselves.
Giving these people more money is not the answer. This is not so much an issue of equality, more one of parental and societal responsibility.

Therein lies the problem, I would guess a large proportion of those, so called “never done a day’s work in their lives” claimants are in fact the backbone of the very lucrative employment black-market…an industry that gives cash-in-hand payments to many thousands looking to top up their free handouts.

Rioter's mum to pay compensation after Ibiza trip https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gdn8dj62wo

It’s about time the no naming got dumped and regardless of thier age they were named and shamed, perhaps they might think about their actions and doing it again.
