I don’t think flashing his Doubloons quite cuts it with Amy

I take it you've had a good look at his doubloons. I wouldn't like to think Keefy might be getting jealous.

I’m quite fortunate in that I don’t have to flash cash to attract the opposite sex…I just rely on my good looks, charm and Argentine Tango to get me byoldbluefox wrote: 09 Sep 2024, 12:56I take it you've had a good look at his doubloons. I wouldn't like to think Keefy might be getting jealous.

Strictly 2024
It’s Back, it’s Bigger, it’s Better, IT’S STRICTLY.
But nothing changes…. Moti’s hair style looked like a leak from an oil tanker, Graig looks like he’s auditioning for Father Christmas and Anton is doing a poor impression of Bruno.
That being said this year’s line up is the best I’ve seen in years, not only for the potential talent but also for the laughs.
Well, I know you will all have been sitting on the edge of your seats wanting to know where Onelife will be placing this year’s tenner…so to put you out of suspense at 3/1 Tasha looks a cracking bet.
But as with all bets there are winners and losers so here is this week’s prediction….
Bottom two… Toyah and Paul
So, its hello Toyah, goodbye Paul.

Re: Strictly 2024
We may watch the recorded version so I can skip all the cr*p and just watch the dancing and results.
To be honest I'm fast losing interest in the show. It's become more of a screeching pantomime than a dance competition/show.

Re: Strictly 2024
I recorded the programme and then fast forwarded through some of the dances. I really enjoy it more later on when the number of contestants has been whittled down. Tasha was amazing but I believe she's had training as a dancer - whether that's fair on the other contestants and whether that will matter to the voters I don't know. I tend to think a lot of the voting is due to the personality of the dancer and if they appeal to the public, apart from the dancing ability.

Re: Strictly 2024
I have to agree with you Carole, personality does play a big part in how the public vote. I wouldn’t be surprised if the show doesn’t have a personality coach telling the contestants the do’s and don’t of how they can get the public on their side. Tasha comes across as a nice young lady so I’m sticking with her, The other one that I think could go a long way is that Welsh guy.

Re: Strictly 2024
Some of the music paired with the dances was dreadful a bit to be desired.
I think Len would turn in his grave.

It's one of the few BBC shows that we record and use the fast forward to avoid all the rubbishy filling bits.Stephen wrote: 29 Sep 2024, 11:49We may watch the recorded version so I can skip all the cr*p and just watch the dancing and results.

You might enjoy some of the crap bits Stephen… Chris McCausland is a very witty/funny man during the after dance interviews.Stephen wrote: 29 Sep 2024, 11:49We may watch the recorded version so I can skip all the cr*p and just watch the dancing and results.

Re: Strictly 2024
I agree, its the best looking group. We already like Wynne Evans, Chris McCausland, and Sarah Hadland, but as I'm not a soap lover, some of the Blokes, tattoos and all, are playing for the female penchant for ruffti tufftis. Needless to say they dont appeal to me. The Daily Telegraph, Mail, Times etc., will be spitting tacks, after they did their best to have the show scrapped, by harping on about Gino, and picking holes in the format all in their desire to get at the BBC.Onelife wrote: 29 Sep 2024, 11:36It’s Back, it’s Bigger, it’s Better, IT’S STRICTLY.

I agree about Anton. A demonstration of how to use a lot of Ooohs and Aaaahs in order to say very little.
Christmas will be here soon enough and we will know the winner. Your prediction for bottom two is partially correct, but .....watch tonights show.

The difference in height didn’t help Tom or Nadia, but on that performance, I would have let Toyah go off to Barbados.

On the basis that the dance off is judged on that dance only I thought the result was fair.

She’ll be out next week no matter how she dances…her Barbados comment won’t sit well with the voting public.

Voters may be vindictive and keep her in. She could be wishing she had never mentioned Barbados.
Personally I thought the comment was rather tasteless.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
According to the press today there was no way the BBC was going to allow Toyah to be voted out the first week, who knows. I agree about the height difference between Tom and Nadiya, that didn't help. It was interesting that Craig was the one who voted for them.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Damn, Nadiya‘s gone out. Mind you I’m not surprised dancing with a plank. But then again Toya was so far out of time I thought she’d start going backwards.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
I think her energy and enthusiasm covered her lack of dancing. She was the best of a poor couple. No doubt off to Barbados next week.
