Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Thank gawd movie week is behind us, if there is one thing that’s going to make viewers turn over, it’s this rubbish…what was the stupid ‘find the Glitter Ball’ sketch all about?
I was getting to the point where I was hoping the bloody umbrella would malfunction leaving Mary Poppins plunging to the floor.
As for the two body-ody-ody’s announcing the voting info…for gawd sake, how did we get to this point?
Well, as they say, “the show must go on” and things did pick up greatly after the pantomime was over….
I thought Chris’s Jive was great, made all the better for the choreography.
Montell, looked a little awkward at time but enjoyable.
Toyah, looks like she’s off to meet Foxy in Barbados.
Tasha, was stunning in every possible way.
The only good thing about Paul’s dance were the horses.
Sarha, was spellbinding.
Pete, certainly let his banana swing in this dance.
J.B, deserves a Mars Bar for that performance.
Sam. Looked a bit stiff, however, I didn’t think her costume helped.
Shane, In the words of Elvis… “Some people tap their feet, some people snap their fingers, and some people sway back and forth. I just sorta do ‘em all together, I guess.”....Nearly but not quite, imo
Wynne, far to deliberate for my liking…needs to lay off the leeks.
Punam, little short of a Vindaloo but hot! hot! Hot!
Jamie, hardly the rocket man, but a good blast.
So, tonight’s spoiler is in…Its hello to Toyah (foxy will be relieved) and it’s goodbye Paul.
P.s if any part of my post offends, please take it up with Stephen.

I agree that she was probably bulling up her view of the training procedure, it seems these snowflake females seem to want their names in lights.Onelife wrote: 05 Oct 2024, 17:26I bet she gave a full and revealing interview… bulling isn’t something you forget easily.towny44 wrote: 05 Oct 2024, 15:54Actually she spoke out early on, and was one of those interviewed by the BBC for their review. You’re clearly getting a whiff of the humble pie if you are having to use my typos to discredit another lady’s statement.

Maybe we could avoid reproducing the spoiler on this forum? If I want to see it I know where to find it, but I don't, thank you.

Talking about tips, there is a horse running at Kempton on Wednesday called 'Lir Speciale'…its recent form won’t inspire you to place a bet...but if you have a spare fiver I think it will give you a good run for your money.
As with all Onelife tips…don’t come whinging to me if they run like David expects them to run.

You should be more careful and not keep dropping it on the floor - especially with your bad back

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Once again I agree with Onelife, twice in a few days! I really don't like Movie Week with some absurd costumes, especially for the judges, although I didn't mind Shirley's, at least she looked human! I could barely look at Anton, that ridiculous lipstick colour was hideous. Some of the costumes seem to hinder the dancers in my opinion. I must be in the minority as apparently some viewers complained that Tess and Claudia didn't have movie costumes. It's probably my age, I'm just too old to appreciate some of the costumes. As usual I recorded the programme so was able to skip through and just watch the actual dancing and judges comments and the results. I'll do the same thing tonight, record the results programme and just watch to see who's in the bottom two and then the dance off. I agree, don't put the spoiler results on here, it's easy enough to find the results if people want to.

Hi Carole, I also agree that Spoiler results shouldn’t be posted on here, something I have never done, but I see nothing wrong in posting who you think will be in the bottom two, and who will go, who will stay.
Sir Merv should be ashamed of himself

P.s With regard to Anton…I think his wife is looking for a divorce…hideous!

On a more serious note, I really dislike how Drag Queens portray women. I think it is degrading from the perspective that they come across as bitchy and slutty. If they were someone of colour or a different race it would never be allowed, so why should women have to put up with this discrimination?

Reluctant that I am I am forced to agree with OL. I dislike Movie week and also the Halloween showing. Some of the costumes are hideous.
On a side note I am rather enjoying my enforced stay in Barbados in Toyah's pad so the longer she stays in the better.

Not impressed by either couple tonight. Toyah as poor as she was last week and Paul not really much of a dancer.
What's the betting on next week's elimination? Even OL can't get this one wrong.
Keefy, watch what you say. People will start talking.

Whilst she isn’t someone I warm to; Toyah was for a 66-year-old very nimble on her feet…shame she didn’t know which way they were going,
Did anyone notice the mistake in the professional dance last night?

Just in case any of you were thinking of placing a bet on ‘Lir Speciale’, save yourselves the journey as it has been declared a NR on Wednesday.
