Maldon Hurricane

They think they’ve got it bad in Tampa Florida.

Checked the weather this morning and it looks like Armageddon with 2500 mile an hour winds

From other friends seems it's grim in Nottingham and Hythe too. I blame Michael Fish. And Brexit.

I think the BBC weather IT team have been infected with the same virus that infects the P&O ones.

Oh so it’s a tech glitch.

Yes BBC have confirmed they got it wrong with a quote from one online newspaper.....

"Writing on X, BBC Weather said: "You may have noticed some data issues on our app and website.
"We are working hard to fix it quickly. Sorry - please bear with us."

Meanwhile weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was forced to address the confusion live on BBC Breakfast."

The sad thing is the Facebook generation will have believed that forecast.

Well the BBC weather forecast certainly got Storm Éowyn correct, they have been forecasting the high winds for a couple of weeks or more.
As I watch the reports on the TV news it certainly look bad over Ireland and Scotland.
Here in the east it been a lovely sunny day and windy, we went shopping this morning and it was pleasant to walk around.
Don't worry, be happy

We have been averaging 16.5 mph winds today. We had gusts in 34/35 mph range earlier today but it seems to be dying down for the time being
