The analysts are recommending CCL as a strong buy which is good news for you Stephen, and I would imagine those who bought just before they nosed dived back in 2020.

As I always say Stephen…best not remember the losers, it’s the thrill of winning that counts.

Don’t think I’ll ever get my money back, cost £34 when I got them.

Still losing at the moment by just over 8%.

I'd keep that quiet Merv. You don't want Starmer finding out.

I feel for you. There was a frenzy of buying before Covid and I think they got up to ~£50 per share, so some will have an even greater loss. I had bought in many years ago at ~£17 . My wife also bought in as we have two children & used to get double shareholder benefit. We just used to ask the steward to make up one room as a twin & one as a double. I had decided that when the shares reached £27 I would cash in, which I did (our children has stopped cruising with us by then.) After cashing in I watched the share price climb relentlessly & I was a bit miffed! We still had my wife’s shares for obc.
On a more hopeful, note Carnival used to give out pretty decent dividends so perhaps they may start up again and you might get your money back sooner than you think.

Fortunately my Carnival shares, bought for £18 in 2012 just after the Concordia sinking, have paid for themselves several times over in OBC and dividends.

At least yours is a charitable donation, mine goes straight into the bookies pocket. That being said, I did have 18/1 and 10/1 winners last weekend. :D

Yep, just been looking. Doing very nicely thank you.

If they reach 20 I might be tempted to sell a 100.

Looks as if the "orange bloke across the pond" is starting to have an effect.

Might have to consider not cruising with any Carnival brand if he keeps going the way he is.
