Let’s give it up for Tasha…fantastic    the best dance by a country mile. :D

I thought JB was outstanding.

I actually enjoyed James’s dance despite the Judges not being over the moon about it.

So here it is, this week bottom two should be Pete and Chris; however, Chris will get the public vote for what I though was a weak pasodobly.

So, it’s hello Montell, goodbye Pete.

You could see it hurt and went against the grain when Craig gave out his 10 to Sasha, but so well deserved.

The singers and the band on this show are excellent.

I think that Chris has reached his limit - this was by far his worst week and he should be in the dance off but he won't. The problem now, and we have seen it before, is that he will deprive a better dancer from winning - but that is not taking away what he has achieved and if it was an achievement competition then he would win hands down.

Why Montell doesn't have public support I don't know any more than why Pete has so much public support - those two should be the other way round.

Jamie is one of those dancers who started off good but has not improved at the same rate as some of the others and he is rapidly approaching the end of his journey.

Not sure if it is just natural progression but JB seems to be dancing better with Lauren (who you could not recognise last night) than he was with Amy. I think that Lauren is more outgoing than Amy and that suits him better.

I agree but I doubt it will be as I have said they both have too much public support - but it will be at least one of them in the dance off next week.

So by the process of elimination this week's dance off will be Montell (who is becoming a regular in the dance off) and Jamie and if justice is served then Jamie should go home.

Not really it was all part of the act

I don’t know who was more shocked, me or Pete when he got through to next week. But there you go, that’s the fickle public for you.

A shame Jamie went out. Although both dance off’s were excellent and difficult to choose from I would have preferred Jamie to stay on. I just don’t like Montell.

I almost get a feeling Pete would love to be eliminated and hopes it is his turn. There's almost a look of dread when he finds he is still in the competition and Jowita even gives him a consoling hug (lucky chap) as if to say 'Sorry not your turn. Maybe next week!!!'

Just looked up the current odds to win strictly.

Chris - 2/7
Sarah - 6/1
Tasha - 7/1
JB – 60/1

Any price the other two.
….
If the bookies have it right (and they normally do) then it looks like we are heading for a mockery of a result. Yes, Chris has done really well but he falls way short of being the best dancer….the voting public need to man up a bit and stop giving him the sympathy vote…if we are not carful a disability will be seen as a must have to win strictly in the future.

Really looking forward to Tasha's Argentine Tango this week

I think he's gone next week. Lowest cumulative judge's score so far, and now only Montell less popular in the audience vote. And I reckon at least half his votes are actually for Jowita! He can't dodge the dance off again.

If I was Chris I wouldn't count any chickens yet. It is getting very very close between him and Sarah in the audience vote.

I think it's incredible what he has achieved and great credit must go to Dianne (and other professionals who have been working with him). However it would be a travesty if he actually won it because he is not the best dancer.
JB has done exceptionally well and considering he has not trained as a dancer his progress has been remarkable, I believe Sarah and Tasha have had previous dancing experience so I believe the final will/should be battled out between the three of them.

I agree Foxy, especially with regard to JB…if you remember he was my tip to go out in the early stages…As you well know, it’s not very often I get things wrong :)

Just so you know I’ll be refunding all phone calls and giving special prizes to all those who vote for Tasha in the Final…family and friends are welcome

On dance ability it should be Tasha all the way. But as we know it's not really a dance competition. If it was they wouldn't let us ignorant numpties have a vote. 🙂

JB, if he keeps that up the 66/1 about him looks a mighty fair bet.

Tasha, wasn’t so keen on her performance, far too much acrobatics for my liking.

Montell, if it was a vote on putting your heart and soul into a dance then she wins hands down.

Chris, it’s been said before, good dancer but not in the same ball park as the top three.

Sarah, we’ll see her in the final.

Pete, He’s starting to sound and look like a puppy dog…its time for walkies.

So, its hello Montell goodbye Pete.

Wouldn't disagree with that but I have a feeling that won't be the result.

It has reached the stage now where they throw a curved ball and one of the better dancers ends up in the dance off - it happens every year.

Just watched the results show, ridiculous! Is this a dancing competition or a popularity competition?

I struggle to see how this “dancing competition/show” can survive in its present format…it was indeed a ridiculous situation that the judges found themselves in…Craig looked like he was totally embarrassed in having to choose between arguable the best dancer and a dancer who has way outperformed Pete on the night.

In the same vein how can it be a level playing field when some of the contestants are total dancing beginners taking on trained dancers? It is more of an entertainment show than a dancing competition. In days of yore the contestants were all beginners which made it more of a level playing field.

I wasn't very keen on the Hamilton contribution but the Sunset Boulevard was really lovely especially Nadiya in the lead role.

Yikes !!

Hamilton is one of our favourites, right up there with Les Mis and Phantom.

We are going to see it again in September

Scherzinger in Sunset Boulevard has been phenomenal and she’s won all the accolades.
It’s certainly worth seeing.

Gotta love a musical but as for strictly, nah, not for me.
Mrs B likes it though.

The way that the public are voting I can see the final being Pete, Chris and one of the good dancers with Chris winning.

I agree - but I have never been impressed by the excerpts I have seen, although I know that many rave about the show. Whenever I see anything from the show they always look as if they are going around in their underwear!

I agree David, and why when men have a shirt on does it have to be undone and flapping around all over the place?

Fair point foxy, but if you take this line then dancing becomes secondary to that of personality traits and such. Chris, has a wry sence of humour, Sarah has her (how can she do that at her age) advantage, Jb has his musical/dancing background, Montell has her fitness advantage, Pete has his “Only way is Essex” following… so they all come with different public appeal. The question is however, what is the purpose of the program …I’m not quite sure, but the producers need to make a decision one way or the other because the middle ground isn’t working for me.

And I’m not just saying that because I’ve blown a tenner on Tasha  :)

Tasha in the dance off :o . Stupid public.

You can’t blame Pete for going through, he again was as shocked as we all were. It’s the bl**dy idiots voting. Brain cells of a rocking horse.

However, I really enjoyed watching the professions dancing to Sunset Boulevard in the results show. Beautiful.

Well given that it is still pulling the biggest TV audience of the week I think it has a way to go yet.

I think it's one of the few shows on television which is pure entertainment with plenty of glamour and glitz thrown in.
All too often our screens are showing programmes which are designed to stretch our social conscience dealing with issues of the day. I'm not surprised so many people suffer from depression because it's virtually impossible to escape a never ending liturgy of wars, homelessness, racism, misogyny, the list goes on.
Thank goodness for strictly, a programme of pure fantasy and escapism from everything else which is going wrong in the world.
And get well soon Amy.

But is that more to do with the public not voting for her because they think she is "safe" rather than not voting for her because they don't like her or perhaps that particular dance.
