Christmas is a-coming

Unread post by allatc »

Eldest grand-child came around today to decorate our Christmas Tree.

Looked at the fairy lights - on the box the purchase date of said lights is 1986.

Some of the decorations are even older than that!

Hi allatc, it sounds like your fairy lights are the ones that came with spare bulbs? ;) :) It was a faff to find out which bulb had gone but at least you didn’t have to throw the whole string away… as is the case today.
We’ve done pretty well with our Christmas light display as our snowflake strobe light and wall and porch lights we bought four years ago are still giving that Christmas feeling on the front of our house. I was going to put our battery powered orchard tree lights out today but the weather put pay to that…we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

I drove past your house the other day (didn’t stop to say hello as I spotted the local youth vandalising cars) but it was nice to see Mrs T has made you put up your Christmas lights …Squeak! Squeak!
