Would that be a jam or a cream doughnut?

Winston Churchill to Meghan and Harry :)
I think you’ll find his gesture refers to ‘Victory’….so pleased it worked out so well for their lovely family. :D

No the way I or most people know it's usual meaning.

No doughnuts are quite tasty, whereas reading Keith's diatribes leaves a sour taste.

My suggestion would be to try Gaviscon or Omeprazole as I can’t see these symptoms subsiding anytime soon :D

Unfurtunatly Stephen, I will be asking David to delete your post as its not in the spirit of what my thread is about, furthermore, I’ve only listened to the first few seconds and its given me severe earache with associated nausea  :)

That sounds a little extreme: shock: would a signed photo with a set of darts suffice?

I've thought for some time our Nation Anthem is a bit out of date and needs to be changed.....for me its dull and a bit tedious nothing there to make me inspired about my country. For me it doesn't need to mention King or Queen .....needs instead to sing about how proud we are to be British and how we stand and work together as one maybe with more catchy and upbeat music.I am not a Republican and still want the Royal Family around but wonder if God save our gracious King needs to be at the start of national anthem ?
Also how many people know the second verse and can sing it with pride....I suggest only a very small minority of people
O Lord our God arise,
Scatter her enemies
And make them fall;
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God, save us all

"Frustrate their knavish tricks" I mean who says things like this any more.

Anyway, just thought I'd give you something to think about but I know that despite my thoughts nothing will change and we will still all sing the first verse of our National Anthem ....except for some republicans ( maybe ) and people like Jeremy Corbyn who also will not sing it.

Hi Portsmouth, this suggestion has been made a few times on this forum, which I believe many of our most ardent forum Royalists would go along with. I personally find these tedious lyrics of “God save Charlie” totally out of step with the modern evolving country in which we live. Why anyone should think this tune is appropriate is beyond any rational thinking, especially when the majority of the population don’t believe in the man-made superstition which is “God” and even fewer believe they should bow and curtsy to theses enormously wealthy individuals who pop up every now and then with a few words of patronising twaddle.

So yes, we should change our National Anthem, hopefully to something that is more representative of a country that wants to put pride back into its nation.

My personal choice would be for someone to write a score that encompasses the values, patriotism and achievement this song displays.

Sorry but cannot agree with any of that. Why do we have to continually destroy our heritage?

Not sure how to put this but I do partly agree with what you are saying but sometimes things are better with a change.
CaroleF, A long time ago it might be said that women not having the vote was part of our heritagebut that changed for the better as I'm sure you'd agree.
Slavery in Britain existed before the Roman occupation according to google ) so some might say that Slavery was part of our heritage but again thanks to William Wilberforce and others that changed for the better.
There are many other examples some for the good some for the worse and could Oliver Cromwell be one of those that helped destroy our heritage and stopped the Royals ruling Britain ?
Also I am not in favour statues being pulled down and destroyed on the say so of a few extremists.

If the truth be known Stephen, I am probably more patriotic than many on the forum, I just don’t believe that one family has the hereditary right to claim that it is appointed by “God” to rule over the United Kingdom and its dwindling Empire while stashing away £billions in real estate and personal wealth for themselves …if you do then please explain to me how you reach that conclusion.

OL, I don't think he claims to be appointed by God, as is your thinking, but is appointed as head of the church of E .

Not sure where OL gets his figures from to give him the idea HRH King Charles is stashing away billions, no doubt just Republican propaganda. According to The Times Rich List His Majesty comes 258th in the UK with a fortune of $770million, nowhere near the billions he claims. If I had the time I would look at the 257 above him to see where OL comes. I am beginning to wonder if His Majesty is catching up with our resident from Keefy Towers, hence the twitchiness.

I do believe England should have its own National Anthem to bring it in line with the rest of the UK, after all Scotland are still crowing about a battle they won 700 years ago which always seems a bit odd to me. But they like it :P God Save the King should be reserved for times when we all come together as one nation.

I have to admit my speculative £billions might have been a little over inflated, but who knows, where I am required to declare my earnings, plus other assets such as my herd of deer, chicken farm, and vintage cars, he, along with the other freeloaders do their business behind impregnable closed doors.

And for your information Foxy his $777 million is $775 million more than I’ve got…life can be so unfair. :D
