I tried to tell you...

Unread post by Onelife »

...but you just weren’t having it...

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/202 ... lisher-ngn

I’m sure the news of Harry winning substantial damages and an unequivocal apology must be a bitter pill for all you Royalists to swallow, especially after many of you joined in with the frenzy of slurs and downright lies which sadly turned the country against Harry and Meghan… and of course the untruths said about Diana. This unequivocal apology is clear proof that they were all subject to historic lies generated by the media through many sources including the FIRM who, through their own sick interests promoted these lies and then just sat back and let it happen.

I’m not one to gloat :D about being proved right again  but it does go some way in helping me overcome the constant abuse I have had to endure through my support for Harry and the lovely Meghan over the years. :D

All it is is "hush money" - no admission of any illegality

Perhaps he will shut up now and stay over the other side of the pond, never to return bringing any of his family with him - although I doubt Megan will allow him to do that.

I suspect he has eventually agreed to accept the original offer, unfortunately for him but most of it will now be taken by his legal team.

If it means we never hear from the snivelling little creep and his obnoxious wife again it will be money well spent.
I thought he wanted his day in court? He's probably realised that the settlement is less than his lawyers fees so best to cut his losses.
Of course Harry would never tell porky pies now would he? :sarcasm:
Good riddance I say.

I’m sure you must all be feeling bruised and battered with ample amounts of egg on your face? Alas, we must move on, so, with this in mind I’m sure you will all join me in agreeing our country owes Harry and Tom, along with the hundreds of other victims a debt of gratitude for exposing the unsolicited lies and corporate cover ups which NGN have been pumping out over many years.

Due to this monumental victory, I'm prepared to put aside an hour a day for any Royalist who need a bit of Keefy counselling

I’m sure that after an hour of counselling with me, informing you about all the underhand story leaking telling the freeloaders get up to, you’ll be needing those 23 hours to get over it

I'm breaking my self imposed rule of not getting involved in this issue just to point out this settlement says nothing about lies. It is all about illegal methods of intrusion into Harry's life. He is annoyed because they were finding truths he didn't want told. Neither does it mention the Firm.

And now I'm going back to aptly watching The Traitors. Let's hope now this is settled we hear no more about the two of them and they adopt the life outside the spotlight they wanted.

Was rather looking forward to it going to court really and can't help feeling disappointed. It would have been interesting to hear Harry under cross examination. No doubt one or two bits of his life would have come under close scrutiny, details he would rather have kept to himself.
Sounds like his legal team have advised him wisely.

Welcome back Sir Merv, :D I always enjoy reading your opinions, however on this occasion with comments such as…He is annoyed because they were finding truths he didn't want told. I think you best stick to watching Traitors.

An unequivocal apology and substantial damages + costs kind of tells you who didn’t want the truth to come out.

Good morning, Foxy...Considering the fact that Lord Tom Watson agreed to the settlement one must presume this was a joint decision, a decision which has cost NGN dearly. If you want to know the real reason why NGN has given an unequivocal apology + damagers + cost it is for no other reason other than had NGN taken the stand, there employees would all have had to commit perjury with a large proportion going to prison for doing so.

Would still have liked to see Harry take the stand. It could have turned out rather interesting. Not really interested in the Tom Watson case although there is no reason to expect the decision would have been made independently and reported jointly.

The apology and damages are simply because they intruded illegally into his personal life.

There is nothing to suggest they lied, as Merv has said, this was purely because the shy one didn't want the truth coming out.

Hopefully the shy ones substantial damages will go to all the so called good causes he allegedly supports (himself no doubt).

Hi slapstick,

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t NGN deny illegally intruding into his personal life…and that of others?

Just to help you come to terms with that definition…. “Lying means the misrepresentation of one or more facts in order to gain a benefit or harm another person”

I have it on good authority that Harry and lovely Meghan’s philanthropy work continues to give generously to good causes.

Don’t you just love them xx

It’s a trait he’s learnt from his older brother…but a little less obvious in my opinion.

Harry of all people should know that, the total bullsh1t he's told about his own family and the gain he's made from it, you've summed him up quite well

Oh’ I’m telling you this because I know you won’t take the P*ss… I didn’t have to send the congratulation card as I received a phone call this afternoon  :D

Not in a monetary terms David but they now consider me to be one of their most loyal of friends :D

We also received a phone call this afternoon (automated) saying our bank account had been subject to two unauthorized withdrawals…one of which was for £180 and the other £800…thankfully I soon clocked on that it was scam as I only have a £65 in the bank, total.

Donations as usual to Onelife's cruise appeal.

I can believe you're their most loyal friend. They've crapped on the others they used to have so have very few left.
