Getting towards the end of updating our church audio systems.
So far four of us have put in about 400 hours of work,
That doesn't include the time of the people supplying and installing the equipment.
We've done a lot of the work ourselves like putting in the numerous cables to cut the overall cost of installation.
This means taking up the floor all over the place and putting in cables where they don't want to go.
Trouble is that the people designing and building the church in 1842 didn't give much thought to the requirements of the 21st century

I have just been typing an account of what I did yesterday, not particularly interesting probably, but then the whole, fairly long page disappeared! So in short, I was out a lot of the day, unusual for me as I now have walking problems. I mentioned two lovely cafes, not restaurants, in my area, between Southampton and Portsmouth so if anyone in the same area want to know about cafes that serve great breakfasts, brunch and lunch I'll post more about them. Both have great variety, no greasy spoon and both serve wonderful coffee. I had a trip round the large M&S at Hedge End. I also had a message from my surgery via the NHS app offering me the RSV vaccine. That plus a trip to my local Pharmacy for some advice from the Pharmacist, nothing serious, and she was very helpful. So that's what I did yesterday but I did look in to the site in the morning before I went out as I do most days, don't always post though. Today I have my hairdresser visiting this afternoon, see I really know how to live!

Today we are taking our 20 month granddaughter for a walk around Needham Lake Play Area and Walks . The sun keeps trying and it dry and fresh.
Then it's pickup time for our grandson from his primary school .
We go off duty this evening when mum and dad get back
Home sometime tomorrow.
Not long now till Christmas 🎄
Don't worry, be happy

It’s a downer when that happens. I tend to write in ‘Notes’ & then copy & paste’ & then delete the note.

Just got back from a night's stay at a lovely hotel overlooking the Thames in Streatley, next to Goring on Thames. If anyone fancies a night away in a picturesque place I recommend The Swan at Streatley. My room, very large, overlooked the river. The restaurant also overlooks the Thames, lots of birds, even a Kingfisher by the side of the river perching on a post. I was there with my daughter and sister-in-law meeting up with another friend for dinner last night. We thought the hotel was great value for money.

Well it's good to see some are having time away, may explain how quiet it's gone.
I'm still at home, had to light two candles last night to keep warm.

I’ve had a side-by side configuration issue with my laptop which I’m pleased to say I’ve just managed to sort out. I can’t believe I’ve managed it as I’m as thick as two brick walls when it comes to computers….and most other things before anyone steps in :)

With regard to missing people…. how long is this painting going to take you Sir Merv?

As the forum has gone a little quiet this past couple of days I was wondering if John (towny) has anything significant to say….? :)
