New Cruise Concept
Just noticed that cruise, Britannia 10-Year Anniversary Celebration, 14 Nights (B514). The interesting thing about this cruise is the course that it is taking which is obviously a new concept - Southampton to Edinburgh is OVERLAND!
What is even more worrying is that if it keeps to that track then Britannia will be passing right through my garden!!

Good old P&O. Perhaps they’re trying go one up from Saga with their door to door pick up service
It’ll save you travelling down to Southampton David.

Re: New Cruise Concept
Depending on how many pick up points there are I think the journey could be quite scenic once having crossed from England into Scotland.

We can get the bus to Keswick and pick it up there.

Living in Shropshire our choice for the bus would be Liverpool or Southampton…I would definitely be going to Southampton cus I’m certainly not missing out on the first leg of the cruise.

I think you are all being rather silly.
No-one has said how she will get up and down all the hills.

Clearly the route will use the canals and rivers and the locks will overcome the ups and downs.Ray B wrote: 28 Jan 2025, 19:03I think you are all being rather silly.

It can come down the Caldon Canal. It's not more than 7 feet wide is it?

Mervyn's just hoping to get his canal dredged out on the cheap. Nice try though.
