It appears he has designs on Canada as well! Does Trump really think that these countries are just going to sit back and say, 'Ok yes, that's fine!).

After his comments today - yes.

He virtually was saying that if one country wants some of another country (Russia/Ukraine) that to prevent a war then one country should cede to the other. He is getting more delusional by the day - but, on the other hand, it does get people talking.

Can Trump stoop any lower?

The Tate brothers have been released from Romania, had their assets unfrozen and are flying back to America - all arranged by Trump's people. Nothing at all to do with them being Trump supporters I don't suppose!

I bet our "special agreement" with the US will not extend to the US deporting them back to the UK where there have been arrest warrants issued.

In my view Trump is as bad, if not worse, than Putin.

I share your view David…the man has no scruples, no conscience and is a pathological liar. As for the Tate brothers, they are in good company.

The one thing that can be said about this forum is that its members love swinging the axe Ouch!

I think Charlie and Don will get along exceedingly well, I mean, they’re not opposed to the odd dodgy deal, and both can play the “get out of jail card” whenever they want.

Talking about playing one’s cards, I thought Keirs sucking up was at least palatable, and it appears there is movement to come through their mutual love for each other.

So the Government and the Beeb think it’s tax payers money well spent to send the Justice Minister and a reporter to Texas to see that prisoners there are given jobs inside the prison.? Well I could have saved them the expense and told them that ,hey, cons have jobs in our jails too.! Who would have believed it.? And what the f*** has that got to do with overcrowding.?

The scenes coming out of the White House were unbelievable, putting down another head of state
Volodymyr Zelensky under attack from Vance and Trump. Putin must be loving all of this.

I wonder what the European discussions will decide over the weekend, I rather fear they may tamely follow the Trump line, which is only going to strengthen Putins resolve to continue the offensive.

Bully boy tactics.

It was all going well until Trumps side kick stuck his oar in and then Trump the orange muppet followed suit and waded in. Zakensky couldn’t get a word in.

The "experts" who were being interviewed last night were of the opinion that it was stage managed - for what reason, is unclear.

The attack on Zelensky was definitely orchestrated, but to what end I don't know. However I think that Trump and his idiotic sidekicks have seriously under estimated Zelensky, I don't believe he will ever consider a ceasefire that cedes large Staithes of Ukraine to Putin. In which case the US has no chance of being repaid, and Russia gets all Ukraines mineral wealth.

Disgraceful way to treat a leader from another country. And he claims Zalensky’s a dictator. That’s rich coming from him.
Does he expect Ukraine to just roll over and let the invading country, Russia, to take what they want so there can be peace. I can just see the Americans putting up with that if the boot was on the other foot.

It’s a good job Truman.Roosevelt and Eisenhower didn’t behave like that to us when we were standing alone against Hitler.!

but to what end
I would guess that it was designed to throw all of the blame onto Zelensky as there was not a cat in hell's chance that the deal was going to be agreed and then Trump would be able to walk away squeaky clean.

Vance, if it is possible, is bigger clown than Trump as whatever comes out of his mouth is either lies or rubbish. Last night when asked if he had visited Ukraine started waffling then said he had seen it on TV! He then said that all Ukrainian cities were destroyed even though Zelensky told him otherwise. The other week he was spouting off that Scottish people who lived within the exclusion zones of abortion clinics could not pray in their own homes!

I am starting to think that Trump appointed Vance as VP as insurance that nothing happens to Trump.

Anyway Trump's approval rating in the US (and probably the rest of the world (Russia excluded)) is falling like a lead balloon.

There is a need for the Democrats to urgently find somebody that can take on Trump because it is going to take years to repair the damage that he and his cohorts have caused already and there is the best part of another four years to go.

I'm probably way off the mark but is there any slim possibility that this was all staged for Putin's benefit, not sure why? Trump seems to have a record of saying one thing and doing another.

Trump and Vance's treatment of Zelensky was an absolute disgrace.

However I wonder how much it was a case of looking foolish to the rest of the world, having hailed Zelensky arriving to put his signature to Trump's much heralded plan to extract minerals out of Ukraine that when Zelensky did arrive he said no, not prepared to sign it. No doubt the plan presented was not what Zelensky had agreed so there was a great deal of animosity between the two factions.

I'm not sure how committed Trump is to the idea of peace, only what suits him or what he can get out of it. That is the beast we are dealing with. Let's face it if Putin takes Ukraine he also takes the minerals Trump wants..............or has Trump come to some agreement with Putin? Common sense says his motives would be better served in the long run by continuing support of Ukraine in partnership with Europe. Trump and common sense seem strange bedfellows in the same sentence.

Is it true that in order to curry favour with Trump Starmer has given him OL and Shropshire!!!!

I thought that I had read somewhere that Starmer was given one of the last remaining boxes of OL's chocs to take as a bribe
