Yes a wife's birthday should always be important

ps although we like to say Shakespeares birthday is April 23rd, I'm not sure I agree...the only actual proof we have is that he was baptized on April 26th so I would think maybe he was born a day or so earlier than the 23rd  but hey.....who am I to disagree with the experts

Not as important as your wife’s Birthday but our daughter attended Willies old school; indeed, she was one of the first cohort of girls to attend what was up until a few years ago an all-boys school.

From what I have read I think the actual date of Shakespeare's death wasn't known but as it was near the date considered his birthday they decided to use the same date.

Shakespeare is a bit like Elvis, he seem to have a lot of places suggest he may have played there. Next thing a plaque appears saying Shakespeare may have done a play here. Pulls in the punters.

Thank you, Pompy, your good judgment in horses and my standing in society are well founded…. I take no notice of those who think Onelife is full of bullsh*t :o   I put this down to jealousy. If you ever find yourself traveling through the lovely Shropshire hills do pop into my Country Estate... but please drive slowly as my free-range chickens are quite suseptable to being tyred. :)

Heard on North West news last night that St George’s day is put back a week because it can’t follow Easter? WTF is all that about.? Bloody religion. The worlds gone mad.😡

They’ve been changing things to fit their narrative for thousands of years…and to think some still believe in their invisible friend

Now is that why Google said it was April 28th when I asked the question earlier this week.

I would guess that it is to do with the recognition of St George's Day - especially by the Scout Association.

The Scout Association throughout the country hold a parade and church service in recognition of our patron saint traditionally on the Sunday nearest to 23rd April (be that before or after the actual date) which this year would have been Easter Sunday therefore for several reasons it will be delayed until the following Sunday - this is not without precedent.
