Tax avoidance
I was thinking the other night about how we could avoid £millions, perhaps £billions in tax avoidance and my solution would be to move towards a cashless society. By doing this all transactions could be better scrutinised and cash in hand would be a thing of the past.
Oh, how I enjoy talking waffle?

Re: Tax avoidance
Cash in hand is tax evasion not tax avoidance, which is not illegal

Re: Tax avoidance
A cashless society is wonderful , until it goes wrong, which it often does.
Hardly a month goes by without a bank system going down or a shop system being hacked and going down.
I’m still old school (Luddite)
I don’t bank online and certainly would never have any details on my phone.
We grocery shop in person and sometimes pay in cash at the manned tills, never self serve.
Rarely purchase things online. Usually if I can’t buy it locally.
Cashless equals power to the authorities.
Every thing you buy, everywhere you go and everything you do can be monitored.
I’m pro choice.
You can live exactly as you want to and allow others to live exactly as they want to.
