Katharine, Duchess of Kent

Unread post by Onelife »

This may surprise some but I was sad to hear the passing of the Duchess of Kent. A lady of great elegance who displayed a genuine empathy and warmth for the people she met.

RIP

A genuinely lovely lady who for many years has suffered ill health. RIP

There are others who could take a leaf out of her book

I remember her wedding. I made a scrap book out of newspaper cuttings of the day, scrap books were popular then. I still have it. Her dress was absolutely beautiful. When people read about her time teaching in a Primary School in Hull where only the Head knew who she was, others knew her as Kate Kent, children called her Mrs Kent, I hope they see what a lovely woman she really was. She touched the lives of many people in a quiet way, certain others could take a leaf out of her book.
