If the season is only "nearly here" then why is Britannia there already? Just asking for a friend.

Caribbean cruises are becoming much more popular. From the 27/28 season Iona will take over from Britannia and both 5000 plus ships will be there.
So P&O capacity for the Caribbean will have increased by over 50%, up to a lower berth capacity of 10,400, from the pre covid level in 2019/20.
So much for doomsayers who keep forecasting the bubble will burst.

P&O talk of Paradise. John and I visited the Caribbean many times on different cruise ships, none larger than Azura, our favourite ship was Oceana in the Caribbean. John's idea of a Paradise stop was Mayreau, where we had to tender but he thought the island itself was his idea of Paradise. Of course I don't think any of the large ships stop there any more. My memories of the Caribbean will be very different I think from the places where these huge ships stop. Do any of them tender? The thought of trying to get 5000 passengers onto tenders is unimaginable.

Carole, we have not been back to Mayreau since the early 2000s, and we have been to the Caribbean umpteen times.
We will be back in the Caribbean early next year, but with Ambassador this time.🏝
Don't worry, be happy

Although Arvia and Iona could tender, I imagine that P&O will only choose ports with berths.
We also visited Mayreau on Arcadia during her maiden season, and I seem to remember walking up to a Church on the top of the hill.
