I don't agree about Max. He's had enough victories aided by a Safety Car, including snatching a Championship. About time he saw the other side.
To be fair, he did say that when he was being interviewed, and did not complain.
However why were the crowd booing Lando?

Another classic f1 from Sao Paulo. In reality the championship is there for Lando to lose, he just need to keep on the podium for the last three races.
Really bad day for the Ferrari team with both cars retired.
As expected, you can't stop Max when starting from the back, he just past them all to finish in 3rd, not blaming the car or team today.

Max did well.... but that track is one of the better ones for overtaking. Another failure by Red Bulls Yuki Tsunoda, even Lawson who he replaced is doing better. Oscar also got 2 penalty points on his super license as well as the 10 second penalty he was given.
Yes I agree with you Ray, the championship will probably go to Lando but then a couple of wins by Max or Oscar could change everything

You would not had called the Las Vegas GP a classic. Max took the lead after Lando over did it on the first corner and Max cruised on to take the flag . Lando came second, but a final twist relating to the skid plate had Lando and Oscar disqualified. George then came second, so a better day for him and Antonelli third, giving the Mercs a boost.
Lewis looked good at times, but again starting from the back , managed 8th and just could not make further progress.
Two races to go and the title is still open.

The plank disqualification thing is disappointing but rules are rules.

Except of course when they're thrown out of the window for a late Safety Car in the last race of the season to hand Max the Championship.

Isn't one of the sheiks running the United Arab Emirates, which includes Abu Dhabi a big shot on the FIA?
I would never suggest he would exert any influence on the officialls, but I guess they would certainly want to ensure the title race goes to the very last race, or is that too cynical.

I'm that cynical too. I'm not even sure how they measured the planks to that accuracy. It's less than a human hair.

It's certainly made the last two races a lot more open now for the title.
I was surprised at the tolerance the measurement was, but no one was jumping with rage, they seemed to have excepted the verdict.

Unbelievable ! McLaren may have cost thier drivers the world champion. What was thier thinking with a free pit stop on lap seven and not calling them in.
Will the unthinkable happen next week, and from 100points behind, Max takes the title.
It's certainly going to be a nail biter if the top three are battling it out between them. Abu Dhabi is hopefully going to be cracker.

I suspect Red Bull and Mercedes were always going to do the opposite to McLaren, the others were just looking for a cheap Pitstop. If there had been another safety car then McLaren would certainly have benefitted and if their speed advantage had been anything like their usual advantage, they could easily have made it work.

Easy after the event, but if they had pitted and everyone else stayed out they'd have been stuck at the back. Max was very lucky everyone else followed him in.

Although I dislike the guy intensely, there is no doubt that at present Max is the best driver by far. However I do hope that he fails to win another title at Abu Dhabi.

Well done Lando.

And to the Max fans saying it's only 2 points, yes it is. 2 points behind Lando.

Indeed, well done Lando, well deserved. The race itself lived up to all the expectations, lots going on all over the track. A great overtake by Oscar on Lando in the first lap,if I remember correctly, then tailed Max all the way. The stewards for a change saw sense with Lando just over the white line on a overtake, but it would not have given him an advantage .
Max was one race short of the title, but he did do well.
Leclerc was chasing Lando with a better performance from Ferrari.
It's all over now until next year with new cars, could be another exciting year.

Very pleased at the result. Yes only two points but you can bet if it had been Maxwinning by one point the fans would say well, that's enough. It was lovely to see the pleasure on Lando's race. I was pleased that he had the sense to be satisfied with third, that was all he needed. I seem to remember was it the first Championship that Lewis won, in, I think Brazil, by finishing 5th.
