After two years of waiting, finally, a sold out run at the Norwich Theatre Royal, the show,Tina Turner the musical is on stage.
Telling Tina's life of sadness as a child, cruelty at the hands of Ike Turner and finally to stardom at the age of 40, this was a show that gripped audience.
Jochebel Ohene McCarthy took the roll of Tina, and what a voice, powerful and just like Tina. The story unfolded in song and speech with Don't Turn Around, Proud Mary, What's love gotto do with it, Simply the Best and Nutbush city limits.
With an orchestra and a cast who could all sing they carried the audience along to the finale, everyone was on their feet singing along and clapping, leading to two encores bringing a top show to a close .
A show not to be missed but only Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Newcastle and Leeds are left.

After going to the Palladium theatre on Ambience a number of times, a week on from from disembarking at Tilbury we went to the Norwich Theatre Royal last night. It's been touring the country, and Midsomer Murders was on the stage.
The death of a spinster opened 'The Killings at Badgers Drift'. DCI Tom Barnaby played by Danial Casey (the original Sargent Troy on TV) was informed of a suspicious death, and along with his Sgt Troy, the investigation was underway. As the story line unfolded, it wasn't long before two more deaths happened. With the locals trying to blindside Barnaby and some laughs thrown in, the twists and turns held the audience.
Different places in Midsomer were expertly changed with scenery coming in from the wings and dropping down from the fly tower smoothly taking us along.
Slowly Barnaby was beginning to unravel the case and the end came with him revealing the killer, a big surprise to the audience. A really enjoyable stage adaptation of the much loved TV series.
A big applause from the full house to the actors for such a captivating story well acted.
