Bring on Friday....
So looking forward to tomorrow as we are going down to Southampton, staying at Ennios and meeting up with Chris and Dot Bond aka Mrs 007 for dinner before they sail to the fjords on Ventura on Saturday. We met Dot and Chris on Ventura last July, after Dot and I enjoyed the build up to the Grand Event together via the old P&O forum and have kept in contact ever since.
Dot has not posted on here for a while so if anyone has any messages for her let me know and I will pass them on....

Hi Jenni
Please give my best wishes to Dot - she and I share a very special bond - our mothers worked at Bletchley Park during WW2 and Dot and I shared some lovely memories. We discovered this connection on the old P&O site and exchanged messages. Tell Dot my mother is now 90 and still very independent.
I hope you have a lovely evening with Dot and her husband and can well understand you being green with envy
when Ventura sails. Never mind you'll be off yourself in June to the Fjords - I've just booked that trip for next May with my son and family but Ventura first in July this year.

Just enjoyed tea on the balcony of Dot's suite at the Grand Harbour - yes they got an upgrade, bathroom is probably bigger than their cabin will be... Jacuzzi bath wide enough for two so if they are late meeting us at Ennios for dinner I will know why
Passed on all your messages. Just watched Oceana sail on a lovely warm and sunny afternoon here in Southampton. This is the life....

Re: Bring on Friday....
Thanks to you all for your kind words, we've just returned from beautiful Norway on Ventura and had a wonderful time. No emergencies to report this time with 007 or myself thank goodness, I'm sure the Medical Centre onboard was relieved too!
We had a lovely evening and meal with Jenni and Steve before we sailed, which really made our holiday, can't wait until we meet up again soon hopefully, not long now until you'll all be enjoying your cruise to Norway too
Jan it's great to hear that your Mum is well and still independent, we're having a huge family reunion in two weeks in London, with family travelling from all over the world and we'll be visiting Bletchley on the Sunday en masse. My sister's asked if they can get the records relating to Mum out again for everyone to see, so really looking forward to be finally visiting, hope your Mum keeps well
Cubie it's a good job you're my chum..........old girl indeed!
Lubboo too gfw

Lovely to hear from you Dot - I'll pass your best wishes on to my mother - she'll be interested to hear you are visiting Bletchley Park soon - she is still receiving newsletters from there.
I loved visiting Bletchley and to have a connection to the place as we have is actually quite moving just imagining our mothers working there - I even found the machine she used to type out the morse code signals on - amazing.
I'm sure you and all the family will have a wonderful day there.
Take care
