As children we used to go and stay with our Grandparents in their static caravan. This was in the days before running water and flushing loos in caravans. My brother, 3 years old at the time, told our Grandad that he needed the toilet (meaning he needed someone to escort him to the toilet block ... and wipe his bottom for him!!) My lovely Grandad handed my bemused little brother a sheet of newspaper (for the purpose of said wiping), and went back into the caravan and sat down to read the rest of the paper!!
